Welcome to ISPT Wembley Stadium Main Event Day 2b

Good morning, good afternoon or good evening to you all, depending on where in the world you are reading the PokerNews Live Reporting pages from, and welcome to Day 2b of the International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT) Wembley Stadium Main Event.

At 12:00 UK time, hundreds of poker players will step onto the pitch of Wembley Stadium — the home of English football. Yesterday, 319 players sat down in the massive inflatable tents on the Wembley pitch for Day 2a. We expect that number to be doubled for Day 2b.

Among those set to participate in this historic poker tournament include Romberto Romanello, Liz Lieu and the legendary David "Devilfish" Ulliott. We also expect plenty of Day 2a's busted players to return to felt today to take advantage of the re-entry format. Any one who was eliminated on Day 2a can head back to Wembley Stadium and buy back in for €3,000 and receive 52,700 chips for their hard-earned cash. Some of the players who crashed out yesterday included Toby Lewis, Christopher Brammer, Peter Eastgate, Michael Tureniec and the infamous Tony G, so keep an eye on the blog for their names throughout proceedings today.

Also, we will keep a look out for Pete Linton who finished the final online Day 1 with a colossal stack of 270,000! To put Linton's stack into perspective, if he sat out for the entire day and lost 10% of his stack via the blinds he would still have a stack that placed him in the top five places!

For those of you reading these pages and debating whether or not you can make it to London in time to register, late registration closes at the end of Level 8, or around 22:00 in layman's terms. Get yourself down here and play for the chance of winning the €1,000,000 first place prize.

Our coverage begins at 12:00 sharp and will continue until nine 60-minute levels have been ticked off the schedule. The players, and hopefully the bloggers, will have a 20-minute break at the end of every second level, with a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 6.
