Hoeller if You Hear Me

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Toby Lewis
Toby Lewis

And the absorption of Toby Lewis' stack into that of Florian Hoeller's is now complete. Former EPT champion Lewis' last remaining chips went in with {A-}{Q-} into Hoeller's {K-}{K-} and a blank board later meant Lewis was heading to the rail while Hoeller becomes the first player over the two million mark.

Lewis Loses Ground

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Toby Lewis has dropped to 300,000 chips after a clash with Florian Hoeller did not go quite to plan.

Hoeller raised preflop and Lewis defended his blind before calling down bets on the flop and turn before folding to a third barrel on the river of a king-high board. The Austrian is now up to 1,950,000 and is our chip leader.

Devilfish Triples Up

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott has just tripled up through Tom Kugelstadt and Hauke Heseding.

Devilfish was all in preflop with {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} for 260,000 and Kugelstadt called with the {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Heseding then overcalled with the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and the dealer got busy fanning out the community cards. By the river they read {5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} to triple Devilfish up.

Amazing Bluff by Ngan

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Yung Hon Ngan opened for 45,000 in the cut-off, the button folded and Jen Yue Chiang in the small blind paused before raising to 92,000. The big blind folded and it was back on Ngan.

He riffled his chips before putting out a 4-bet of 200,000. Now it was back on Chiang and he wasn’t in the mood to back down. The 5-bet was on, the chips over the line. The bet was 400,000 to Ngan.

“All in.” Was Ngan’s reaponse.

“How much total?” Asked Chiang. The answer was 862,000.

Chiang shook his head and separated his stack out, figuring out his odds. He looked over at Ngan and once more checked his cards. Reluctantly he surrendered them to the dealer. A fold.

Ngan threw his cards in the middle face up to gasps of admiration. {9-Spades} {10-Spades}

“Wow. Great play.” Congratulated Mickey “The work” Wernick. “I taught you well kid, but not that well. What an amazing play.”
Amazing indeed.

Meur-der on the Dancefloor

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

A winning flip for Kevin Lee, who has doubled up to three-quarters of a million chips after his {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} stood firm against Remi Le Meur's {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. Le Meur was left with around 15,000 after the hand and was predictably eliminated a couple of hands later.
