Piatek Surprises Himself With a Double
Level 19
: Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
There was already around 200,000 in the middle when Sebastian Piatek moved all in for 122,000 in the cutoff on a flop of 9♦2♦6♥ and Joao Estanislau called in the small blind.
Sebastian Piatek: A♣A♥7♣5♥
Joao Estanislau: K♠J♣10♦7♠
"Just a gutshot," Estanislau said.
"Me too," Piatek said as he showed aces. The board ran out 3♦4♠ and Piatek made a straight to double up.
"I'm surprised," he said, still laughing.
"I'm surprised you had aces," a tablemate joked with him.
