The motto for King’s Resort in Rozvadov is “Play Like a King,” and today on Day 2 of the Grand Big Wrap festival €2,350 Main Event Dorel Eldabach was firmly planted on the throne.

The Israeli high stakes player didn’t even take his seat on Day 2 until nearly an hour into the day. It was as if he was letting the suspense of his impending arrival build, and when he finally did show up, he didn’t waste a minute accumulating a massive stack.

Eldabach tangled with Ryan Oliver in several pots at the end of the day and let the field know they were in for a challenge. “I play 1K, 2K. I know the game,” he declared.

“I am a professional player,” he yelled out after calling a big bluff from Oliver on the river with two pair. Eldabach finished the day with 5,115,000 and a massive chip lead over the rest of the 16 surviving players. Only Adolf Buettner (3,740,000) is within 2,000,000 of Eldbach.

Day 2 began with 91 players remaining from the two starting flights. They would be joined by 60 new entries through the first two hour-long levels, bringing the total field up to 316 by the time late registration closed. They were playing for a prize pool of €660,440, with the top 39 players finishing in the money.

Notables to fall along the way included Joni Jouhkimainen, Alex Livingston, Martin Kabrhel, and Jonas Kronwitter. Day 1 chip leader Massimiliano Zanasi was eliminated a few spots short of the money. Leonid Yanovski and Enrico Macias Romero were both eliminated during hand-for-hand play, bringing the remaining field into the money.

Eldabach then busted Tomas Novotny in 23rd and Grzegorz Derkowski in 18th on his way to building his substantial chip lead. Reigning WSOP Europe champion Omar Eljach (36th), Lautaro Guerra (24th), Oliver (21st), and Fahredin Mustafov (20th) also made their way to the payout desk in a flurry of eliminations that brought the day to an early end.

The remaining 16 players return at 2 p.m. tomorrow to play down to a champion. The action resumes with 15:25 minutes left for Level 21 with blinds of 15,000/30,000 and a 30,000 big blind ante. The feature table will also be streamed on a 30-minute delay on King’s Resort’s YouTube channel.

Those who have made it this far are already guaranteed €8,123. They’ll all be chasing the €132,400 top prize tomorrow, but first, they must try to stop Eldabach’s field domination.

PokerNews will be back tomorrow, providing live updates until the sweet sixteen become one who stands alone with the trophy in their hands.
