Kabrhel Enters; Busts; Re-Enters

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Martin Kabrhel had barely sat down for the first bullet on Day 1a when he tangled with Renato Nowak and they invested 57,000 preflop. On the {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, Nowak moved all in and Kabrhel called for his last 36,000.

Martin Kabrhel: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Renato Nowak: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The {5-Diamonds} turn gave Nowak an unbeatable flush and the {2-Clubs} river was a formality. Nowak held to the chips for just a few minutes and saw all his profit vanish when Calogero Lupo turned trips fives. In the meanwhile, Kabrhel was already back for the second bullet on a different table.

Svoboda Busts With a Wrap

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Petr Svoboda
Petr Svoboda

Very fitting to the name of the event, Petr Svoboda put his hopes on a big wrap when he jammed the {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} turn for 51,000 out of the blinds. Kyrylo Shkrob was his sole remaining opponent and with 110,000 in the pot already without Svoboda's shove, he made the call.

Petr Svoboda: {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Kyrylo Shkrob: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}

Shkrob was ahead with his king-high, flushdraw and gutshot. Svoboda failed to catch any help as the {3-Clubs} river changed nothing but "improved" Shkrob to a pair of treys to deal the final blow.

Late Bustouts and Re-Entries

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Ivo Donev
Ivo Donev

Marko Ilicic and Michal Schuh busted a second time with the latter jumping back in for another try. Gisle Olsen busted on his first bullet and Ivo Donev recovered from around one third the starting stack to almost two times of what he received upon sitting down when he doubled through Salavat Shafigullin before the break.

Nuts for Shkrob

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

On the tail end of a hand between Maximilian Klostermeier and Kyrylo Shkrob, the latter bet the {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts} river for 35,000 and Klostermeier called. Shkrob announced and nuts and indeed tabled {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for the nut flush to scoop the pot.

Klostermeier dropped to the starting stack and things got even worse for him after, as he busted and re-entered in quick succession.

There are 70 players out of 117 entries remaining and they have been sent into their final 20-minute break of the night, in which the T-100 chips will be raced off. Michal Schuh was among those to take another shot at running up a stack and jumped back into the action.

Henschel and Ditz Meet Again

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Dieter Ditz never recovered from the big blow against Yves Henschel and nursed a shorter stack. They both met again just now when Henschel check-called a bet of 8,000 on the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. They checked the {6-Hearts} turn and Henschel bet the {j-Hearts} river for 11,500 to force a fold from Ditz.

Ursu Busts Schuh

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Michal Schuh
Michal Schuh

Michal Schuh ended up all in for around 45,000 preflop and faced Adon Ursu in the following showdown.

Michal Schuh: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Adon Ursu: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades}

The {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop gave Schuh top two pair and he held up on the {4-Hearts} turn. However, the {6-Clubs} followed on the river to give Ursu the superior two pair and send Schuh to the rail for now.
