Johan Espholm lost the remainder of his short stack and won't be able to re-enter anymore on Day 1a. Ivan Levchenko may soon have to buy back in after his stack was reduced to a miracle. The cards of the Russian were already mucked while Calogero Lupo scored a double with

Johan Espholm is on his third bullet for the day but made up for that in a successful cashgame session earlier. Espholm may need to re-enter on Day 1b however, as his third attempt just took a major blow.
Four ways to the 
turn, Stanislav Koleno checked in the big blind and Didier Rabl bet 16,800 in the hijack. Espholm called in the cutoff and so did Giovanni Salvatore on the button while Koleno folded. The 
river brought a pot-sized bet of 66,000 by Rabl and Espholm called, Salvatore folded.
Rabl announced a flush and turned over 
to win the pot.
The second bullet of Netanel Amedi on Day 1a just ended in unfortunate fashion when he got his last 15 big blinds and change in after a 
flop against Petr Svoboda.

turn, Goran Urumovic made it 5,500 to go out of the small blind and Martin Rothaermel in the cutoff raised to 20,000. That was enough to force a fold from Urumovic.
The very next hand, Urumovic raised to 3,000 on the button and he was called by Daniel Rejc in the big blind. On a flop, Rejc checked and called a bet worth 4,000 before the 
turn went check, check. After the river, Rejc bet 15,000 and Urumovic folded to get shown the .
Maximilian Klostermeier got out of the way and said in table chat he had a pocket pair when Igoris Kuklis and Kyrylo Shkrob went to war. Both tabled aces with Kuklis holding

Karel Mokry and Gustav Christensen are in eyesight of the chip lead as both bumped up their stacks significantly as of lately.
For Giovanni Salvatore, things have gone the other way around and he just had to give up a hand against Christensen when he bet the 
flop for 2,000 and Christensen called on the button. On the turn, Salvatore check-called a bet of 10,000 and check-folded the river when facing another bet of 10,000.
One hand later, a four-way pot for 4,000 each emerged and the 
flop brought a bet of 8,000 by Mokry. Christensen raised to 25,000 and Mokry was the only caller. The 
turn was checked and Mokry check-folded the river to a bet of 20,000.
The chips of Robert Cukic headed over to Yusuf Kurt who is running much better on his second bullet for Day 1a with now three times the starting stack.
Maxim Khruslov also added some more to his stack. Twice he paired up with ace-ten and in the second hand he check-called a bet of 10,000 by Arpad Koevecses on the 
turn, the river was checked. Khruslov rolled over the for aces and tens, which won the pot as Koevecses mucked.
