Norden Takes It On the Flop

Level 6 : 400/800, 0 ante

Netanel Amedi raised to 2,500 off a shorter stack and picked up no fewer than three callers including Jesper Hougaard, Alexander Norden on the button and Ran Azor in the small blind. Maksim Shuts folded and quickly ran out of the tournament area even before the flop fell {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

Once the action checked to Norden, his bet forced three quick folds and he claimed the pot.

Shuts was back in his seat soon after and raised, Amedi three-bet the pot and shut down all further action.

Svoboda Doubles Through Smith

Level 6 : 400/800, 0 ante
Petr Svoboda
Petr Svoboda

On the river of a board {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, Matthew Smith pushed forward all his big chips to bet the pot against Petr Svoboda, who had 43,900 behind. Svoboda gave it some thought and called all in.

Smith tabled {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a busted gutshot and flush draw, while Svoboda secured the double with {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a set of aces.

Smith Takes From Cowen

Level 6 : 400/800, 0 ante
Matthew Smith and Robert Cowen
Matthew Smith and Robert Cowen

Matthew Smith check-called a bet of 2,800 by table neighbor Robert Cowen on the {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop and the {7-Hearts} turn was checked. Smith then check-raised the {7-Diamonds} river from 9,000 to 30,000, which sent Cowen deep into the think tank. The clock was called on Cowen and he released his cards into the muck with two seconds to spare.

Updated Counts

Level 5 : 300/600, 0 ante

Yves Henschel and Salavat Shafigullin remain at the top of the leaderboard and both increased their stack sizes as of lately. Henschel was just spotted in a hand against Lukas Svoboda, who called a bet of 2,500 on the {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades} turn. Henschel bet the {4-Hearts} river for 3,500 and Svoboda folded.

Marcel Luske and Ivo Donev remain at the same table and both are slightly up from the starting stack, though, nothing much has happened yet.

One for Lupo; One for Franta

Level 5 : 300/600, 0 ante

In a battle late position versus button, Calogero Lupo bet the pot on the {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs} turn and Irena Macesovic let go.

One hand later, Sergei Verkhoturov opened to 1,500 and was called three ways including Macesovic and Ondrej Franta in the big blind. Franta bet 6,000 on the {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and collected the pot after each of his opponents had folded.

Dosikov Doubles Through Hougaard

Level 5 : 300/600, 0 ante

Jesper Hougaard had all but mucked his {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{x-}{x-} and paid off the stack of Ilyaz Dosikov, who had been at risk for just over half the starting stack with the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. The board came {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs} and the aces held up to let Dosikov double.
