The fifth edition of the OlyBet Kings of Tallinn €1,100 Main Event hosted by Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Tallinn Park was a huge success with 318 entrants ponying up the €1,100 buy-in.

This already crushes last year's record field of 268 entrants by 50. The record will be further extended with many players sharing they plan to enter for the first-time or re-enter before the late registration period ends at the conclusion of the first blind level of Day 2 tomorrow.

Players began today's deep-stacked action with 30,000 in chips and battled it out for eight hour-long blinds levels.

More than half of today's field survived today's action with Lithuania's Vasilijus Piskunovas leading the way among the 168 survivors with 189,900 in chips.

Espen Uhlen Jorstad
Espen Uhlen Jorstad

Espen Uhlen Jorstad was all-in for 38,000 against Vasilij Barna who had his opponent covered.

Jorstad turned over {q-}{q-} and was racing against Barna's {a-}{k-}.

It wasn't looking good after his opponent paired the {a-}{3-}{5-} flop. To add insult to injury, Barna improved to a full house after kings came on both the turn and river.

Jorstad was deciding whether to reenter again today or early tomorrow on Day 2. When he saw there was about 50 minutes left on the clock he made his decision and heading to the tournament desk to reenter today.

First Olybet Team Pro Vist Out

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante
Carmen-Elina Vist
Carmen-Elina Vist

The day has come to an early end for Olybet Team Pro Carmen-Elina Vist. She shared during break nothing was going her way and that didn't improve after the break either.

Vist three-bet shoved for her remaining stack of almost 8,000.

"I want to gamble," Teun Hernar Mulder, who was the opening raiser said. "I call."

Vist looked in good shape to double after she paired up the {3-}{7-}{q-} flop. A blank came on the turn.

Fate wasn't on Vist's side throughout the day and this final hand was no different as the {8-} spiked the river to give her opponent a set.

Sebastian Wahl

Sebastian Wahl hit the rail before the first break. The action was recapped for us after we saw his seat was open.

Wahl was all-in for about 25,000 with a flush-draw on the turn into the two pair held by Mart Tammoja. The river did not complete his flush and Wahl was down to crumbs. The rest of his chips unsuccessfully got in the middle the next hand.

Jonnson First Player Eliminated

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Lars Anders Ove Jonsson was just the first player eliminated from the Kings of Tallinn Main Event. He can reenter an unlimited amount of times until the late-registration period closes at the end of first blind level of Day 2.

We learned about the early big hand as the chips were being stacked by his opponent Andrius Kaziukonis. Jonnson opened up from early position and Kaziukonis flatted from the button.

Jonnson fired out a continuation bet on a {j-}{x-}{x-} flop and got a call from his opponent.

The action picked up in a big way after the {9-} appeared on the turn. Jonnson three-bet jammed his stack and got a quick call from Kaziukonis.

Jonnson turned over {a-}{a-} for an overpair and was behind the two pair held by his opponent with Kaziukonis turning over {j-}{9-}. A blank hit the river to send Jonnson out of the tournament unless he decides to reenter and give Kaziukonis an early chip lead.
