Mascioto Knocked Back Again

One player checked the flop of {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} to Mario Mascioto. He bet 5,000 and the next player folded before the first player called.

The turn brought the {J-Diamonds} and both remaining players checked. The river then completed the board with the {3-Spades} and both checked again.

The first player tabled the {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} to beat Mascioto's {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Mascioto dropped back to 102,000 in chips after building back to about 110,000.

Where Is Angel?

The Feature Table
The Feature Table

I quick walk round the main tournament floor and you won't be able to spot Angel Guillen.

Why?

Currently PokerStars and the LAPT staff are using the feature table in preparation for the final table, and that is where we find Guillen and his approximate 65,000-chip stack.

Felipe Ramos raised the button to 2,100 and Dario Oliveira called from the big blind before the flop came down {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Both players checked and the turn card produced the {8-Spades}. Oliveira fired 2,000 and Ramos called.

Fifth street was the {7-Spades} and Oliveira fired 3,000. Ramos made the call, but mucked his hand when he saw Oliveria's {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and Oliveira fired a small 1,400 into the pot. Dion just called this time.

Brandon Demes raising it up from the small blind . . . to elimination

With the action folding round to Brandon Demes in the small blind, he bumped it to 2,200 and was called by his opponent in the big blind.

The flop fell down {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Demes led out for 2,900 with his opponent making the call.

The turn landed the {A-Hearts} and Demes paused for a few moments before firing out 7,300.

His opponent scoped out what Demes had remaining in his stack before sliding in a stack of chips amounting to a raise of 35,000. Demes made the call for approximately his last 25,000 to be at risk.

Demes: {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Unfortunately for the American, the river landed the {J-Hearts} to see him sent to the rail.

Mascioto Drops Below 100k

Mario Mascioto came into the day in the top five chip counts. On this hand, he limped in from middle position before the hijack seat raised to 2,200. Mascioto made the call and the flop came down {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Both players checked to see the {7-Clubs} fall on the turn. Mascioto check-called a bet of 3,000 from his opponent.

The river completed the board with the {8-Clubs} and no more chips went into the pot. Mascioto rolled over the {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, but was beat by the hijack seat's {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Mascioto dropped a tiny bit and is back under 100,000 in chips.
