Montero Flushed Over 200k!

Guillermo Montero collecting a pot
Guillermo Montero collecting a pot

With a {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} board spread and the player's cards tabled, we found Guillermo Montero and his {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} taking the lead on the river against his opponent's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

Montero's opponent was visibly upset as he stormed out of the room, while on the other end of the emotional spectrum, Montero offered a 1,000-denomination chip as a tip to the dealer.

As Montero collected the pot, he moved to 215,000; the first player over the 200,000-chip mark!

Fernandez Falling

On a flop of {Q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} with around 15,000 in the pot, Leo Fernandez fired out 6,300 and was called in one spot before another player folded.

The turn landed the {5-Hearts}, and after a few moments of deliberation, Fernandez checked the action to his opponent in the cutoff.

Immediately announcing all in, Fernandez was put to a decision for his remaining 25,600, and after another few minutes in the tank, he tossed his cards into the muck.

Fernandez' opponent flashed his {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} while collecting the pot as Fernandez followed suit by tapping the table.

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds} to see Austin find a rivered pair to move to 42,000 in chips.

Dion Doubles Azocar

From under the gun, Yann Dion raised to 4,300. Action then folded around to the cutoff seat where Francisco Azocar was positioned. Azocar raised all in for 27,800 and Dion quickly made the call once action got back over to him. He held the {A-Spades}{J-Spades} and was flipping with the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} of Azocar.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Azocar stole some outs from Dion with his club draw. The turn brought the {3-Spades} and then the river completed the board with the {4-Diamonds}.

Azocar earned the double up to over 55,000 while Dion dropped to 107,000.
