Jose Carlos Rodrigues Eliminated in 19th Place (R$14,350)

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante
Jose Carlos Rodrigues - 19th Place
Jose Carlos Rodrigues - 19th Place

With new-found life but still critically short of chips, Jose Carlos Rodrigues moved all in for 27,000 from under the gun. Walter Oaquim shoved behind him for 220,000, bringing the action to Marcio Motta. Motta tanked for two minutes, engaging Oaquim in some laughing banter that we couldn't understand, before folding his hand. The blinds also folded, taking Rodrigues and Oaquim to showdown.

Rodrigues: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Oaquim: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Both players flopped an ace, but two baby cards left Rodrigues with kicker problems, {5-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{2-Spades}. He shouted "Nueve!" once before the {8-Spades} turn and a second time before the {3-Spades} river. Neither was the requested card. Rodrigues has reported to the rail in 19th place.
