Foster Survives All-In Flip

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

We expected play to slow down with only ten players remaining and nobody dangerously short, but Bruno Foster and Marcelo Fonseca had other ideas. After Henrique Bernardes opened with a standard raise and Fonseca called from the button, Foster moved all in from the small blind for about 440,000. That was enough to fold Bernardes, but Fonseca went for the kill and called with {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. He was racing Foster's {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}. There was a queen right on the flop of a {q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} board to secure a double-up for Foster.
