Never Count Out Jack Bauer
Level 13
: 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Joao "Jack Bauer" Neto is a player who made a big charge on Day 2 of LAPT Brazil. It was thought that he would be the first Brazilian player to capture an LAPT title, but he came up just short and fell in 2nd place to champion Lisandro Csome.
Neto is repeating his Day 2 charge here in Lima. He's now just barely behind overnight chip leader Daniel Ospina. The two players are sitting at adjoining tables, Neto with 327,000 in chipa and Ospina with 345,000. As far as we can tell, that's 100,000 more than the third-place stack of Derek Lerner (227,000). It's still a long way to go and anything can happen but right now Ospina and Neto are the players to beat.
