So Long, Solari

Juan Manuel Perez Solari came into this Day 2 with close to 100,000 chips, but this second stanza was unkind to him.

He was all the way down to just 3,400 when he called all-in with {5-Spades} {5-Hearts} in a three-way pot. A gentleman holding {8-Spades} {8-Clubs} ended up with the chips as the board ran {K-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}, and Solari has been sent off.

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu is up over 200,000 in chips (10 times the original starting stack) here on Day 2 in the early goings. He just three-bet a Casio Pisapia under-the-gun open of 3,500 to 8,700 and won the pot preflop. That's all we've got, but when he stack is up to 208,000, we definitely feel it's worth reporting.

Win One, Lose One with Fox

From the under-the-gun-plus-one position, 2011 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event champion Elio Fox raised to 3,200. Action folded to the player in the big blind and he made the call to see the {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop. After the big blind checked, Fox bet 3,300. His opponent, with 43,600 behind, folded and Fox won the pot.

On the next hand, Fox opened from the under-the-gun position to 3,200. Action moved around the table with some folds before it fell on the cutoff seat. The cutoff, Daniel Trotta Borges, three-bet to 9,000. Play then folded back to Fox and he gave it up.

After those two hands, Fox's gained 2,200 total.

Nacho and Leo
Nacho and Leo

Well, this should make for some entertaining poker. We have four Team PokerStars Pros left, and two of them have just been moved to the same table. And they're right next to each other. It's Nacho Barbero in the six seat at Table 5, and he and Leo Fernandez (Seat 7) are engaged in an animated conversation right now.

We'll try not to eavesdrop, but fortunately our Spanish is rusty to begin with. We will, however, be keeping a keen eye on that matchup.

Uribe Stacking Up

The only bit of this pot we caught was the part where the dealer required several pushes to move a big pile of chips over in front of Mayu Roca Uribe.

It was an enormous pot that pushed his stack up over the 200,000 mark, and we'll call it about 225,000 for now. We'll try and pry for some details, but Uribe has his hands full with stacking chips right now.

Under a Hundo

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We've already ticked down to 94 players remaining, dropping 13 players here in the first 25 minutes of action. It seems likely that we'll be down around 80 by the end of the level.

We'll play until we have 24 players remaining this evening. Or hopefully, this afternoon.

Uribe Arrives

Mayu Roca Uribe arrived a bit late to Day 2, but he's come in firing. We've seen him play a couple pots already, and we picked up the most recent one as he opened to 3,500 from middle position. Next door, Manuel Silvestre Souza three-bet to 11,300, and that folded the table back around to Uribe. He wanted to play for more, and his reraise to 21,500 was quickly matched by Souza.

The flop came {K-Clubs} {4-Spades} {J-Spades}, and Uribe continued out with a smallish bet of 11,600. Small or not, it got the job done as Souza surrendered and the pot was pushed to the Colombian.

Negreanu Up, Pisapia Down

When we arrived up on the feature table stage, Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu had just tossed in the call of an unknown Casio Pisapia bet on the {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop. The turn brought the {6-Hearts} and Pisapia fired again, this time for 9,000. Negreanu mulled it over for a little bit and then called.

After the {J-Clubs} paired the board on the river and completed a possible flush draw, Pisapia thought before checking to the four-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner. Negreanu picked some chips from a few stacks and tossed in a bet of 17,500. After a minute, Pisapia mucked and told Negreanu, "Nice hand."

"Thanks," was all Negreanu had to say as he collected the pot.

Barbero Chips Up

Action folded to Henry Esteban Merchan Bravo in the cutoff seat and he raised to 3,500. Team PokerStars Pro Nacho Barbero called from the button and everyone else folded before the dealer spread the {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop. Bravo checked and Barbero bet 4,000. Instantly, Bravo made the call.

The dealer landed the {4-Clubs} on the turn and Bravo checked again, still acting very quickly with his decisions. Barbero bet 7,300 and Bravo folded instantly.

Fox Chased Out

First in from the cutoff, Daniel Trotta Borges opened to 3,700, and Elio Fox defended his big blind to go heads up to the flop.

It came {J-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {5-Spades}, and Fox checked to the raiser. Borges made his continuation bet of 4,600, and Fox didn't waste too much time dropping the call into the pot. The {2-Clubs} arrived on the turn, and Borges wasn't slowing down yet. He fired a second bullet worth 10,000 flat, and Fox gave him a short staredown before surrendering his cards into the muck.
