Hanot Busts With Pocket Queens

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Toon Hanot
Toon Hanot

Jean Yip raised to 275,000 and when the action was on Toon Hanot he raised all in for 880,000. Yip tanked and he eventually got the clock called on him. He called before someone from the tournament staff arrived and the cards went on their backs.

Hanot opened up {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and he had the best hand against the {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} of Yip.

Yip immediately hit a king on the {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop. The {a-Hearts} turn and {5-Spades} river couldn't spare Hanot from elimination. He cashes for €1,454.

Not Much Action on Table 27

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Table 27 seems to be the table with the least amount of action on it. Most pots are kept small.

The latest hand on that table was raised preflop by Lieven van Hoof from the cutoff. He was called by the big blind, Noel Gaens.

The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Van Hoof continued with a bet of 125,000 after Gaens had checked to him. The call was made and the turn was the {a-Clubs}. This time both players checked. They did the same on the {10-Diamonds} flop and the pot was awarded to Gaens after he showed [As5].

Radu Eliminates Christiaens for the Chip Lead

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop was already on the table and Nicolas Christiaens bet 220,000 from middle position. He was called by Gabriel-Mihai Radu and the turn was the {4-Diamonds}.

Christiaens continued with another bet of 525,000 but there was a very quick all-in bet from Radu. Radu had Christiaens covered and the call was eventually made by the Belgian who had to pay 960,000 more to call.

Christiaens had {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} but he was behind against the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of Radu.

The river was the {a-Diamonds} and the Belgian got eliminated from the tournament after playing a pretty sizeable pot.
