€550 Grand Event

The Final Table of the Malta Poker Festival Grand Event Will Be Determined Today!

The MPF Grand Event Trophy

At 2 PM local time, Day 3 of the €550 Grand Event will kick off with the 24 remaining players, out of 1,366 entries, in their seats. They will play down to a final table today and the action is expected to be just as fast-paced as yesterday as they’re all competing for the inaugural MPF Grand Event title, trophy, and the first-place prize of €150,000!

Topping the chip counts is Norway’s Dorge Dypvik with 3,120,000, followed by Eyal Bensimhon (2,500,000), Espen Uhlen Jorstad (2,430,000), Andre Henning (2,155,000), and Steven Iglesias with 2,075,000.

Henning, Bensimhon, and Iglesias are all seated on the same table which also includes Emanuele Onnis, Fabian Gumz, Elio Caferro, Gary Banks, and Francesco Cortorillo. Dypvik and Jorstad and sharing the same table felt with Idan Raz, Colin Lovelock, Yoav Scheiman, Giovanna Dimartino, Harvey Norris, and Federico Petruzzelli.

Then there is Table #3 which has none of the top 5 chip count players on it, it does have the Day 1B chip leader, Domenico Gala, on there. He will be starting the day with Piero Compagnoni, Emanuele Napolitano, Marko Cosic, Giovanni Salvatore, Eivind Dahle, Nicolaj D’Antoni, and Jona Wilmsmann.

This is what they are all playing for:

The tournament clock was paused last night when there were 24 players remaining and 11 minutes left in the level. The assumption is that they will continue in that level which was Level 26 with a small blind of 25,000, big blind of 50,000, and a running ante of 5,000. Level duration will change to 60 minutes each with a break scheduled after every 2 levels. Officially there is a 75-minute dinner break scheduled around 8 PM.
