Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Dario Marinelli
Dario Marinelli

Jon Garaialde raised to 5,500 from under the gun and was called by Dario Marinelli in the late position while the rest of the table folded.

They both checked through the {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop to the {3-Clubs} on the turn. Garaialde bet 6,500 which Marinelli called.

The {8-Spades} completed the board on the river and Garaialde checked for the final time. Marinelli glanced at Garaialde before betting 31,500. Garaialde flicked in a chip for the call. Marinelli tabled {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the rivered set of eights and that was enough to get Garaialde to pay up as he mucked his cards.

De Laat Busts to Sesay

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Bas de Laat was leaving the tournament area as he had just been eliminated by Sulaiman Sesay with {10-}{10-} against Sesay's {a-}{q-}. Sesay flopped two pair and no help came on the turn nor river for De Laat as he was sent to bed to try again on one of the other starting flights.

The following players will also have to try again later:

Said Flops a Set

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

In a hand just before the break, Oliver Said raised to 5,500 from the hijack and was called by Sulaiman Sesay in the cutoff and David Rapenne in the big blind.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}, both Rapenne and Said checked. Sesay bet 4,500 and Rapenne called. Said raised to 16,000 which only Rapenne called.

The turn was the {q-Hearts}, Rapenne check-called the 20,000 continuation-bet of Said.

The river completed the board with the {8-Diamonds} and Rapenne quickly checked again. Said contemplated a bit, grabbed 20,000 for a bet, looked at Rapenne and then made it 25,000 to go. Rapenne called almost immediately and then mucked when Said tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the flopped set of tens.

Sujeta Makes the Right Call Against Demircan

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Serdar Demircan
Serdar Demircan

In the last hand of the previous level, Serdar Demircan raised to 3,500 from the middle position. Tomas Sujeta three-bet to 12,500 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Demircan.

"I know you have a good hand, but I have good too, so I have to call," Demircan declared before making the call and then checking blind.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Sujeta continued with a bet of 7,000 which Demircan check-called.

The turn brought them the {4-Spades}, Demircan led out for 17,000 and Sujeta called.

The river completed the board with the {4-Clubs}. Demircan now fired a bet of 33,000 over the line.

"What do you have? A set of sevens?" Sujeta asked.

"I don't have sevens, I swear!" Demircan replied.

"Set of Fives?" Sujeta pressed.

"I don't have a set of sevens," Demircan replied again.

"I can't fold, I have a full house," Sujeta concluded before putting the chips in and showing {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the flopped pair of sevens, turned two pair, and rivered full house.

Demircan mucked and complimented Sujeta: "Nice hand, well played,"

Sujeta replied: "yes, you too."
