Kings Good for Horkay

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

The under-the-gun player limped, seeing Ching Lee follow suit in middle position. Peter Horkay then punished the limpers, raising to 1,800. The first limper folded, but Lee called once again.

The dealer provided a 355 flop, seeing Lee check-call a bet of 1,500.

The turn 6 saw Horkay place a more substantial bet, with Lee again check-calling, this time for 5,200.

Action slowed down on the 9 river as Lee checked, and Horkay checked behind.

Lee flipped over A6, with his pair no good versus the KK of Horkay.

Quint Bluff Catches

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

With roughly 6,600 already in the pot, and a full board showing 2AJ58, the action was on James Gavaghan.

Gavaghan put out a sizeable bet of 7,000, putting Manfred Quint deep into the tank.

Clearly concerned about the flush-completing river, Quint threw calling chips into the middle, stating, "Flush is good".

There was no flush for Gavaghan, though, who turned over 32 for just bottom pair. Quint flipped over his A5, before scooping in the pot.

Turn Slows the Action

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

The action was joined with a monotone flop showing 8Q4 and 1,800 already in the middle.

Mathijs Van Veen placed a bet of 1,000, only to see Michael Antener raise to 2,700. Van Veen called, and the 10 turn was added to the board.

Both players checked the turn, and then again on the 3 river. Van Veen flipped over Q10 for top two pair, which was unable to beat the 75 of Antener.

Reufel Goes for Three Streets

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

James Gavaghan raised from under the gun, gathering calls from Robin Reufel in the hijack, the player on the button, and the small blind.

Action checked to Reufel on the AQ9 flop, who placed a bet of 1,500. Only Gavaghan called.

Reufel continued the aggression with a bet of 2,600 on the flush-completing 4 turn, and again, Gavaghan called.

The river 10 did nothing to slow Reufel down, this time betting 4,500. Gavaghan gave it some thought, before opting to fold.

Bad River for Pagonakis

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Anastasios Pagonakis raised from early position to 500, before calling a three-bet to 1,700 by Tomi Aponen.

Action checked all the way to the river on a 7Q33 board, and the dealer completed the runout with the K.

Pagonakis checked once again, seeing Aponen place a bet of 2,000. Pagonakis called, seeing the bad news. Both players had hit a pair on the river with Aponen's AK the best hand, as Pagonakis revealed he had the K, with an inferior kicker.
