Darren Wingrove opened to 1,500 from the hijack, and Jamie Scheper defended the big blind.
The 9♦8♠3♠ flop was checked to the 6♣ turn, where Scheper led out with a bet of 1,200, which failed to dispose of Wingrove.
The 3♣ river completed the board, and Wingrove folded after a fair bit of time in the tank in the face of a bet of 5,300 from Scheper.

Romani Mousa has had a hot start, sitting with a stack of 229,000 before the first break. He informed PokerNews it was gained from a flopped set versus two pair scenario, and making a straight with ace-jack and getting paid.
In this hand, a pot of 20,000 had developed by the turn on a board of 10♦4♣2♥3♣ in a hand between Mousa, Johannes Grootelaar and Daniele Gugliotta.
Grootelaar slid out a bet of 5,500, Gugliotta called and Mousa folded.
The Q♥ hit on the river, and Gugliotta folded to a further bet of 10,000 from Grootelaar.

A pot of roughly 18,000 had brewed by the river on a completed board of A♠K♠Q♣2♣3♣, in a hand between Pel Nieuwenhuis and Janne Harme.
Nieuwenhuis led out with a bet of 17,500, and Harme called.
Harme confidently tabled A♥Q♥ for two pair, but Nieuwenhuis had went runner-runner for the flush with A♣6♣.

In a button versus big blind spot between Fausto Gravagna and Fabio Giamberardini, 14,800 had made its way into the middle on a board of A♠7♠4♠5♥.
Giamberardini produced a check-raise to 15,000 in the face of a bet of 4,400 from Gravagna, who thought things through for quite a while before calling.
The 9♣ river was checked through, and Gravagna smiled wryly and mucked when Giamberardini tabled 5♣4♣ for two pair.

Marc Schembri opened to 900 from middle position, and Giuseppe Spitale called in the cutoff.
On the 9♣5♣5♦ flop, Schembri continued with a bet of 700, which failed to shake off Spitale.
The same pattern followed on the 8♦ turn, this time in respect of double-barrel of 1,700 from Schembri.

Spitale tabled J♥9♦ for two pair, nines and eights, and Schembri mucked.
