Macaluso Passes Ganivet Atop the Leaderboard
Level 19
: 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Luigi Macaluso raised to 40,000 on the button and Alejandro Ganivet called in the big blind.
Ganivet led out for 30,000 on the 7♠2♥2♠ flop and Macaluso raised to 60,000. Ganivet called and the 10♥ fell on the turn.
Macaluso then bet 85,000 and Ganivet again called. Both players checked down the Q♣ river and Ganivet showed A♣4♦ for ace-high, but Macaluso had A♠7♣ for two pair to win the pot.
With that pot, Macaluso has passed Ganivet for the tournament chip lead.
