Michiel Brummelhuis Eliminated in 18th Place (€10,621)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Michiel Brummelhuis
Michiel Brummelhuis

On a flop of {5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} Michiel Brummelhuis saw his 19,000 bet check-raised to 40,000 by Jussi Nevanlinna. The Dutch former November Niner thought to himself for a minute before moving all in and Nevanlinna sighed and made the call.

Nevanlinna: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Brummelhuis: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Brummelhuis needed an ace, ten or running cards to stay in the game but the {2-Spades} turn and {5-Hearts} river were effectively blanks and the Finn added more chips to his stack.

Massive Double up for Chen

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
The end of the hot run for Ruben Visser?
The end of the hot run for Ruben Visser?

[Removed:17] raised to 21,000 on the button and Andrew Chen called out of the big blind to see the {J-Clubs} {A-Spades} {2-Hearts} flop. Both players checked and Yan called a bet of Chen for 28,000 on the {2-Spades} turn. The Canadian then overbet the {9-Hearts} river and claimed the pot without showdown.

One hand later Jussi Nevanlinna raised to 18,000 and Ruben Visser three-bet to 52,000 on the button. Chen four-bet to 134,000 in the small blind and the Finn folded. Visser five-bet to 253,000 and Chen moved all in after more than a minute of consideration. Snap call by Visser!

Chen: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}
Visser: {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}

The best two starting hands in Texas Hold'em clashed and a pot of 1.8 million in chips was created. Chen doubled up with the board running out {10-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {3-Spades} {8-Hearts} {10-Spades} and now has a commanding lead.

Richard Milne Eliminated in 19th Place (€10,621)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Richard Milne
Richard Milne

In a battle of the blinds, Richard Milne raised to 15,000 out of the small blind and Ruben Visser called one seat over out of the big blind. Milne bet the {K-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {5-Clubs} flop for 18,000 and called the raise of Visser to 46,000. On the {3-Diamonds} turn, Milne check-raised all in for 180,000 and Visser snap-called after leading 55,000.

Visser: {6-Clubs} {4-Hearts}
Milne: {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds}

The Brit was gracious in defeat and already shook hands with his opponent, a smile on the face. No card in the deck could help him anymore and the meaningless {10-Spades} on the river was just a formality. The Main Event run of Milne has come to an end in 19th place for €10,621 and the remaining players now get balanced on the last two tables.

Nevanlinna Makes Straight Flush

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

[Removed:17] raised to 12,000 preflop, he was called by Andrew Chen and Jussi Nevanlinna. The flop was {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Yan fired 35,000, Chen folded and Nevanlinna called. On the {2-Hearts} turn, Yan bet 85,000 and Nevanlinna called once more. The river was the {J-Diamonds} and Yan checked, Nevanlinna bet 155,000 and Yan tanked before eventually folding. Nevanlinna showed {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a straight flush, Noah Boeken jumped out of his chair at this point, he'd allegedly folded {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} on the button.

Juha Helppi Eliminated in 20th Place (€10,261)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Juha Helppi
Juha Helppi

Juha Helppi opened to 12,000 preflop and Richard Milne called. Stuart Rutter then three-bet to 39,000 from the big blind and Helppi tanked for a minute or two before calling with just 70,000 back. Milne thought briefly but folded.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and Rutter began to dwell before setting Helppi all in. The Finn deliberated, wondering if Rutter had ace-king but finally he made the call.

Helppi: {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Rutter: {A-Spades}{2-Spades}

The board came {7-Clubs} and {4-Clubs} and Helppi was knocked out.

"The nutter is back!" exclaimed Milne.

"He'd never gone away!" laughed Rutter.
