Tremzin Doubles; Remains Short

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Gleb Tremzin got his short stack in with the {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} and doubled up thanks to the {2-Diamonds} on the flop. The Russian remains among the shorter stack though and will require one or two more of the same to get back on track.

Ensan and Agerskov Out; de Meulder Back in

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Hossein Ensan and Rasmus Agerskov are no longer in today#s field while Matthias de Meulder registered again and sat down next to Jussi Nevanlinna. It was the Finn that raised to 1,600 and picked up two callers including Faraz Jaka.

On the {J-Spades}{K-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop, Nevanlinna continued for 3,400 and just Jaka called before giving up the {7-Diamonds} turn to a second bet worth 8,200.

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Sidhu Stacked

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Kuljinder Sidhu raised to 1,500 and picked up three callers to find an up and down straight draw with the {6-}{7-}. The turn completed the straight and one opponent wasn't willing to fold pocket queens.

Fresh off the double, Sidhu called the shove of a short stack for 11,450 with the {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and flipped against {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. The board came {8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and the pair of tens gave Sidhu another boost to his second bullet.

The Field Size Increases

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

A few players that busted recently rejoined shortly after including Kuljinder Sidhu and Ludovic Geilich. The Scot had found a new home just one table over from where he had been before and immediately faced Antoine Vranken in a smaller pot.

On the {K-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} river with a pot of 12,000, Vranken bet with a T-10,000 chip and Geilich tank-folded.

Peters Flats with Aces; Busts de Meulder

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante
Matthias de Meulder
Matthias de Meulder

Pieter de Korver opened and Tobias Peters just flat-called before the action reached Matthias de Meulder in the big blind. He moved all in for his short stack with the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} and de Korver folded. The trap of Peters with aces worked out perfectly as there was no surprise on the board.

Three Up, Two Down

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Johnny Hansen won a bigger pot after three-betting the small blind with {A-}{J-} to get up to 100,000 and Timothy Adams has the same stack size after a preflop all in showdown with kings versus queens.

Ilan Boujenah also almost doubled his stack since the last update while Artur Koren was chatting with one of the players from the rail to indicate his elimination. Matthias de Meulder's stack is all but melted, too.
