Li Busts to Watts

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Shortly after returning from the break, Yuguang Li and Steve Watts went at it with the former moving all in on a nine-high flop. The shove was for well over pot size and Watts called with the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} only to get shown pocket kings. However, Li could not double up his last 8,000 chips as another nine appeared right away on the turn.

Time to Rise and Shine

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Douglas Roberts
Douglas Roberts

"You can just call me the apple farmer from Germany," Douglas Roberts joked in the break after reporting about three decent runouts in a row over on the feature table.

In the first hand he raised with pocket nines and flopped top set. The continuation bet was called and a second five on the turn gave him a full house. Only one opponent called the second barrel and did so again on a blank river, getting shown the full house.

The second hand was equally sweet with ace-king in the big blind and flat-calling a raise. On a king-high flop, Roberts check-called a continuation bet to do so again after an ace appeared on the turn. The second ace on the board gave him a full house and the bet of the American was not called, yet he still showed.

Last but not least, the lucky charm, jack-ten suited, found a jack on the flop and a ten on the turn. A possible flush on the river saw a bet of 6,100 by the opponent of Roberts and he called to receive a muck in return before showing his cards.

While Roberts' trend continues to rise and shine, Artur Koren's stack dwindled all the way down to just 13,000 at the very same table.

Teekens Takes Miller's Stack

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

The wild ride of Matthew Miller will have to continue on another tournament table. According to Tom Hall, he three-bet with pocket tens against Pascal Teekens and continued on the {Q-}{4-}{5-} flop. Teekens doubled up on the {9-} turn when Miller celebrated one of his typical all in moves with pocket tens, as Teekens had spiked a set of nines.

Soon after, the remainder of the stack went to the very same player with pocket nines, Teekens had this time picked up queens. Miller was spotted at the registration desk though to reenter immediately while Martin Finger got moved over to his former table.

Consistency on the Table

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Only the player in seat one was sent to the rail twice thus far while Jasper Meijer, Matthias de Meulder, Steven van Zadelhoff, Pieter de Korver and Samy Kamal have been sitting in a row since the start. Their chip counts fluctuated and Kamal is still in charge of the table, however van Zadelhoff is catching up quickly.

O'Dwyer Flushes Berende

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

After a raise to 1,025 and the three-bet to 2,800 by Steve O'Dwyer, Paul Berende squeezed to 7,100 out of the blinds and just O'Dwyer called to see the flop of {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}. Berende's continuation bet of 8,000 is just called before the {10-Hearts} on the turn gets the stacks into the middle of the table.

Berende's mood immediately went southwards when he discovered his {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} being cracked by {7-Spades}{5-Spades} and the river was already meaningless.

Watts Rising

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Steve Watts busted Gleb Kovtunov and then tried the same against Yuguang Li while the stack of Matthew Miller once again plummeted.

Li bet the {9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} turn for 2,500 and Watts called before the {a-Diamonds} fell on the river. "How much stack do you have," the Brit asked his opponent, who took the hands away from the chips. Watts then put him in by betting 40,000 and Li folded rather quickly.

Only seconds later, Watts had another reason to celebrate when England scored a stunning goal in the live stream on his iPad.
