Heinze Doubles

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a board of {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{K-Spades}{J-Clubs}, we saw Olvedo Heinze check from middle position. His opponent, a Finnish player on the button, shoved for 19,075. Heinze tanked for some time before he eventually slammed his chips in the middle.

The button showed his {J-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Heinze grabbed the chips after tabling {J-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Roovers Doubles

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Wim Emo raised to 700 and one position down, in middle position, a player three-bet to 1,700. Over on the button, Mark Roovers cold four-bet to 5,025. Both blinds and Emo folded, the three-better called.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and a check followed. Roovers bet 4,750. His opponent check-raised to 11,200 and Roovers called.

Both of them checked the {J-Diamonds} on the turn.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board and Roovers' opponent checked. Roovers shoved all in for 20,325 and after some deliberation, the call followed.

Roovers showed {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and his opponent wanted to muck. Roovers said the cards needed to be shown as it was an all in and a call, and the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} of the player that just lost most of his stack was tabled.

Alberto Stegeman
Alberto Stegeman

Just before the break, from middle position, Thomas de Rooij opened for 550. In the hijack, Dutch crime reporter Alberto Stegeman three-bet to 1,450. The big blind called, and so did De Rooij.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and both the big blind and De Rooij checked. Stegeman bet 2,525 and the big blind called. De Rooij folded.

The {4-Clubs} hit the turn and the big blind checked. Stegeman bet 4,175 and his opponent raised to 10,200. Stegeman shoved all in and his opponent folded.

Break

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

The players playing upstairs have a 15-minute break. The players downstairs have a 60-minute dinner break. In an hour time, the two groups swap places.

De Rooij Doing Well

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Thomas de Rooij, who finished fourth in this years EPT Barcelona Main Event for €535,100, is off to a good start. Not too long ago, he busted a player to get up to 75,000.

After a raise to 525 and a call, De Rooij from the small blind squeezed to 2,100. The big blind called and both other players involved called as well to make it 4-handed.

The flop came {A-}{Q-}{3-Diamonds} with two diamonds total and action checked around. The {3-Hearts} hit the turn, making for a second flush draw. De Rooij bet 4,500 and two folds later, action was on the last player. That player raised to 13,000 and De Rooij called.

The river came an off suit {7-} and De Rooij checked. His opponent shoved all in and De Rooij called with {Q-}{Q-}. His opponent showed {J-Diamonds}{10-} for a missed draw and De Rooij collected the pot.

Boyaciyan Versus Deinum

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Foeke Deinum told us he lost a big pot early on where he bet {A-}{K-} all the way on {A-}{K-}{5-}{5-}{4-}. His opponent had called the flop and turn and now shoved the river. Deinum called, but turned out to be up against {4-}{4-} for the rivered full house.

In a hand a bit later, Deinum limped in. Another player limped and David Boyaciyan raised to 850. Deinum reraised to 2,200 and just Boyaciyan called.

Deinum bet 1,800 on {10-}{6-}{6-} and 3,000 on the {8-Clubs} turn. Boyaciyan called both streets and a meaningless {4-} completed the board. Deinum shoved for 8,000 and Boyaciyan folded, telling us he had {A-}{10-} in the hand. Deinum told us and Boyaciyan he had {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}.

Boyaciyan lost that hand, but climbed back up after and is right back at starting stack.
