Raul van Boxtel was sitting on a stack worth 75,000 all of the sudden and told us about a hand that had catapulted him to the ownership of that massive chip castle.
A short-stacked German player shoved all in for 1,400 and Van Boxtel called holding . His neighbor, Roseline Siman, 3-bet to 4,500 and Van Boxtel called.
The flop came and Van Boxtel checked. Siman bet 8,000 and Van Boxtel pushed all in. Siman called with for the open-ended but failed to get there. The German player had so tripled up, but Van Boxtel collected Siman's bounty.
Not much later, a French player limped in. Kees Aerts raised and found 4 players calling, including Van Boxtel and the French limper. On the flop, Van Boxtel and Karen Luir checked their blinds. The French player shoved all in for only a couple hundred of chips, and Van Boxtel shoved over the top. Muir wasn't too sure about what to do, but eventually elected to fold.
