Peters Gets it In

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Tobias Peters was playing a big pot against early chip leader Uri Reichenstein. Peters had moved all in for 13,300 when there was about 30,000 in the middle.

The board was reading {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Reichenstein folded after saying: ¨This is probably a bad fold¨.

Uri Reichenstein started the day out extremely well by doubling up in the first eight minutes, but he is now close to out of the tournament.

Reichenstein had a couple chips left and escaped elimination just now by doubling up with {A-Hearts}{9-Spades} against the {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} of Tobias Peters.

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Reichenstein has about 5,000 left.

Schemion Lets it Go

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Ole Schemion was facing a bet of 15,000 from Juha Helppi while the pot had about 20,000 in it.

The complete board looking {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} was already out there and Schemion looked like he had a tough decision to make.

He ended up folding his hand and Helppi stacked his newly won chips.

Thierry van den Berg, Ad Schaap, and Cor Janssen all joined the Main Event as the size of the field went up to 48 players. They have opened a new table, and even more players are joining the field as the day progresses. Late registration is open until the start of day 2.

Schaap Wanted More Action

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Ad Schaap opened with a raise to 300 from middle position and he was called by five other players at the table.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} and both players in the blinds checked to Schaap. He put in a bet of 700 and everyone at the table got away. Schaap opened up {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and sounded a bit disappointed when he said he wanted more action.

Small One for Stegeman

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

The player in middle position opened with a raise to 300. Dutch television host Alberto Stegeman called from the small blind and big blind Ad Schaap called as well.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and all players checked. The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Stegeman lead out with a bet of 500. Both Schaap and the third player in the hand called.

The {6-Diamonds} river completed the board and Stegeman put in another 500. Schaap got away but the third player called. Stegeman opened up {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and that was enough to take down the pot.
