Kramer Busts Wolzak

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Stefan Wolzak
Stefan Wolzak

Stefan Wolzak, the sole Dutch poker player to enter the MCOP €25,500 High Roller, was missing from his seat. Former table mate Jasper Meijer van Putten told us how his run had ended.

Seated under the gun, [Removed:172] opened for 1,500. A player in middle position called before big blind Stefan Wolzak squeezed to 6,000. Kramer made it 12,800 and the caller now folded. Wolzak tanked for about two minutes before pushing for 42,000. Kramer called.

Wolzak had {J-}{J-} up against the {A-}{A-} of Kramer. No help on the flop, turn, or river and Wolzak exited the tournament area.

Gieles Rivers the Goods

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

From early position, Steve O'Dwyer opened for 1,800. The cutoff called and Luuk Gieles over called from the big blind. Gieles checked to O'Dwyer on {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and saw the initial raiser bet 5,000. The cutoff folded, Gieles called.

The two checked the {J-Hearts} on the turn and Gieles checked once more on the {Q-Clubs} river. O'Dwyer contemplated what to do for just a bit before eventually checking behind.

Gieles showed {A-Spades}{6-Hearts} and took it down as O'Dwyer mucked {Q-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

Kuhlman Makes a Big Call

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Rene Kuhlman
Rene Kuhlman

We missed the initial action, we only got there on the turn as both Rens Feenstra (small blind) and Rene Kuhlman (under the gun) checked on {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} with already some big chips in the pot.

The {4-Diamonds} completed the board and Feenstra bet 6,400. Kuhlman tanked for a bit before flicking in a 5,000-chip to call.

Feenstra tabled {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for a missed open-ended. Kuhlman showed {A-Spades}{3-Spades} and took down the pot with nothing but ace-high.

Emo Doubles Refos

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

From the button, Raoul Refos got his last 10,300 in chips in the middle. His opponent, his neighbor on his left Wim Emo, was the one looking him up.

Refos had the better hand with {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Emo was trailing with {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. The board ran out an uneventful {6-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Refos doubled.

De Meulder Busts Kitai

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

The player under the gun opened for 1,800 and Davidi Kitai, with a stack of 11,000, called from the button. Matthias De Meulder called from the small blind and Anton Wigg called from the big blind.

The flop of {4-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} saw the blinds check. The initial raiser bet 1,800 and Kitai and De Meulder called, Wigg folded.

The {5-Hearts} hit the turn and De Meulder and the initial raiser checked. Kitai shoved for 7,400 and De Meulder called, the initial raiser folded.

Davidi Kitai: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Matthias De Meulder: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {9-Spades} on the river wasn't one of the cards Kitai was looking for and he exited the tournament area. De Meulder is up to 60,000.

Wolzak and Schwippert Chop After a Multiple Check-Raises

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

A player in early position limped in and German high stakes player Jan Eric Schwippert over limped from the hijack. Small blind Stefan Wolzak, who busted earlier today but bought back in, completed. Hakim Zoufri checked his option in the big blind.

The flop of {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Spades} saw the blinds check. The first limper now bet 1,000. Schwippert called before Wolzak check-raised to 4,000. Zoufri and the initial limper folded. Schwippert three-bet to 11,000 and Wolzak called.

Both players checked the {3-Spades} on the turn and the {6-Diamonds} completed the board. Wolzak checked once more and Schwippert bet 10,500. Wolzak check-raised to 25,000 and Schwippert called.

Wolzak showed {J-Clubs}{7-Spades} and chopped the pot as Schwippert tabled {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for the same full house.

"I've seen worse runouts," Wolzak said with a big smile.
