Skrbic Has Rebei Out-Kicked

Level 7 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

With around 15,000 in the pot on a board of {7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}, Karim Rebei bet 15,000 from the small blind and was called by Milos Skrbic in the cutoff.

The river came the {10-Hearts} and Rebei fired out another 11,000. Skrbic quickly called and Rebei turned over {j-Spades}{4-Spades} for two pair.

Skrbic, though, showed {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for jacks and tens with a higher kicker to take the pot.

"Top pair with a flush draw. I'm quite happy with it," Rebei said despite dropping the pot.

Better Kicker For Merzhvinskii

Level 7 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Alexander Merzhvinskii called a bet of 5,000 from his opponent on a flop of {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and both players checked to the river which came the {10-Spades}.

Merzhvinskii bet 5,000 and his opponent called. He tabled the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} which pipped the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} of his opponent as he was able to squeeze a little bit of value from the inferior kicker hand.

Heads-up on a board of {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, Nikolai Tulin bet 4,000 from the big blind and was called by Nejat Erman on the button.

The river came the {3-Diamonds} and Tulin bet another 16,000. Erman tanked for about two minutes before throwing in the chips to call.

Tulin showed {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for ace high and prepared to surrender the pot, but Erman also had ace-high with {a-Spades}{5-Spades}. Tulin's eight-kicker played and he won the pot.

"I thought he had jack or king high. I never thought he had an ace," Erman conceded after the hand.
