Raffoul Survives Near the Bubble

Level 19 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Christopher Frank raised to 32,000 from Edgard Raffoul moved all in for 440,000 in the cutoff. Artem Voziianov reshoved in the big blind and Frank folded.

Edgard Raffoul: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Artem Voziianov: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

"I'm the bubble," Raffoul joked as a crowd gathered around the table. The {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop gave him top pair, and he improved to trips on the {k-Spades} turn. The {7-Hearts} on the river was safe and Raffoul doubled up.

Frank admitted he folded king-jack after the hand.

Level 19 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Dawid Smolka

The flop read {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Spades}. From the small blind Dawid Smolka bet 125,000 and was called by Andrey Litvinov who was in the cutoff to grow the pot to around 600,000.

The turn brought the {10-Spades} to bring three to a royal flush. Smolka led for 400,000 and Litvinoc called after some thought to swell the pot to well over a million.

The river came a blank looking {6-Hearts}. Smolka used a time extension before putting together a bet of 1,200,000 and sliding the assortment of stacks forward.

Litvinov went into the tank and used up three time banks before eventually folding his hand to send a chunk of his stack over to the new chip leader.
