Mayer Doesn't Get His Split

Level 19 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Thomas Mayer was down to his last 30,000 when he got it all in against Filippo Lazzaretto.

Filippo Lazzaretto: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

"I'll take a split," Mayer said as the flop came {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. "Deuce," he called out.

The {a-Hearts} on the turn gave both players top pair, while they improved to trips on the {a-Clubs} river.

Lazzaretto's eight-kicker played and Mayer stopped to snap a picture of the board before making his exit.

Nikitin eventually called and Higgins turned over {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a bluff before the floor arrived at the table. Nikitin waited until he showed {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for a flush to double up.
