Vassiliou Wins Big One, Grows Already Huge Stack

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With action three-ways to a flop, Panayiotis Vassiliou bet 4,500 on a flop versus the small and big blind, who both called his raise preflop.

The board read {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Spades} and both players called.

When a {5-Diamonds} turn fell, both blinds checked once again and Vassiliou fired 14,500. The small blind then called and the big blind moved all in for his last 25,900. There was some confusion on the table as Vassiliou wanted to be able to raise again but was unable to, the floor clarified this. Both he and the small blind called the jam.

On a river {2-Clubs}, the small blind checked and Vassiliou bet 33,000 which the small blind folded to before Vassiliou's chips even hit the felt.

Cards were tabled and Vassiliou's {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} turned boat crushed the unfortunate big blind, who had flopped trips with {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. This skyrockets the player to among the top stacks in the tournament so far.
