Struggle With the Time Bank

Level 4 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

There seemed to be some raise and three-bet action, resulting in approximately 50,000 chips already in the pot.

Danut Chisu opted to check-call Stefan-Sebastian Ionita's 17,000 bet on the flop 456.

On the turn 6, Ionita placed a bet of 38,000, prompting Chisu to check-raise to 83,000. The use of time bank cards added some tension, with both players nearly missing their time to act. Ionita nearly folded due to hesitating in placing his chips for a call. The dealer reminded both players to communicate more effectively to allow time for chip placement.

Both players chose to check the river 4. Ionita revealed QQ, while Chisu held just queen-high with Q9.

Massive Pot for Chaoui

Level 4 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

After an open to 8,000 by Aleksandr Sazhinov under the gun, Mehdi Chaoui to his left called. Johny Jabra in the cutoff then three-bet to 23,000, and he was called by both Sazhinov and Chaoui.

Jabra continued for 27,000 on the Q103 flop, but Sazhinov check-raised to 80,000. Chaoui wasn't done yet, so he three-bet to 135,000. Jabra moved all-in for 265,000, Sazhinov shoved as well and Chaoui called with 280,500 chips.

Ludovic Geilich

With the board showing JQ8A and approximately 27,000 chips in the pot, George Rotariu opted to check-call Ludovic Geilich's bet of 18,000.

On the 9 turn, Rotariu checked, and Geilich nearly missed his opportunity to act as his time bank depleted to zero. However, he managed to insert one of his time bank cards and placed a bet of 48,000 chips. Rotariu, despite almost forgetting to use his time bank card as it also reached zero, ultimately chose to fold.

German Showdown

Level 3 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With 24,000 chips already in the pot, PokerNews entered the action. Three players remained in the hand: one in the small blind, Samuel Ju in the big blind, and Felix Schulze in middle position. Schulze initiated the action with a bet of 15,000 chips on the flop 1047, which both opponents called.

The 5 prompted Ju to check-call after Schulze placed a bet of 51,000 chips; the small blind folded.

On the river 3, both players checked. Despite Schulze's initial uncertainty with four hearts on the board, his hand of J9 proved superior to Ju's, securing him the pot.
