2025 Mediterranean Poker Party
Level: 8
Blinds: 3,000/6,000
Ante: 6,000
Players are on a 20-minute break.
Ehsan Amiri and Jakub Michalak are still going in Day 1b and just played out a pot together.
The board read 4♥9♣5♦6♦ and with around 30,000 in the middle, Amiri decided to go with a pot-sized bet of 32,000 from the big blind. Michalak was on the button and needed some extra time before he could make a decision, but eventually did let it go.
On a board of A♥10♥2♥A♣, there were around 40,000 chips in the middle when it checked to Parahat Nurmuhammedov in the cutoff, who fired 20,000. Amine Daher was next to act on the button and he shoved for just shy of 220,000, which got a player in the blinds to fold.
Ankit Ahuja was sitting in middle position and with around 240,000 in his stack, he had a decision. After using up a time bank, Ahuja called, and Nurmuhammedov quickly folded.
Amine Daher: K♥J♠
Ankit Ahuja: A♠Q♠
Ahuja had the best of it with trips and just needed to fade the flush draw of Daher. The river was red, but the K♦ wasn't of any use to Daher, meaning he was eliminated.
Ahuja with over half a milly now!
Level: 7
Blinds: 2,500/5,000

With 235 players still in action today and late registration open through the end of Level 10, the numbers continue to build rapidly at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa. At this pace, the event is well on track to shatter its $2,000,000 guarantee.
Espen Jorstad failed in his attempt to progress through Day 1a but has taken his seat in Day 1b in the hope of making it through the fifteen levels scheduled today.
The Norwegian player got off to a decent start as he got a river value bet paid off on a board of K♦8♣A♣2♦6♥ holding K♣9♥ for a pair of kings.
