Pavlov Spikes the River to Bust Yusopov

Level 6 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A big pot was brewing between Ivan Pavlov and Mekan Yusupov which had a brutal ending for one of them.

The board read K758 and with around 60,000 in the middle, Pavlov had fired 26,000. Yusopov raised to 56,000 and after burning through a few time banks, Pavlov shoved for 186,000. Yusopov snap-called.

Mekan Yusupov: 64 All in
Ivan Pavlov: 88

It was a brutal setup and it was Yusopov on the right side of it as he turned a straight, with that same card giving Pavlov a set! Pavlov needed the board to pair on the river and his wish came true as a K rolled off, improving him to a full house!

Yusopov couldn't believe it and once the stacks were counted down, it was realized that he was covered by just 2,000, meaning he was sent to the rail.

"Nice river," said Yusupov as he departed.

Skhulukhiya Doubles Through Tudor

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Giorgiy Skhulukhiya

The action was missed but Giorgiy Skhulukhiya just scored a full double-up courtesy of Alexandru Tudor.

On the K69QJ board, all the chips had found their way into the middle with Tudor showing two pair holding 96. Unfortunately for the Romanian player, Skhulukhiya had a better two pair with QJ to take down the pot and double up.

Borlan Makes the Right Call

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Anthony Spinella just sat down in the $2,200 Grand Final and wasted no time in getting involved as he opened to 7,000 from the hijack. Dan Borlan called in the cutoff, and a player in the big blind also tagged along.

The flop came down 7102 and it checked around to Borlan, who fired 10,000. The big blind called and Spinella got out of the way.

When the J hit the river, the big blind elected to lead for 16,000, which Borlan promptly called to the 4 river. Again the big blind bet, this time for 55,000, sending Borlan into the tank. Around 20 seconds passed and Borlan was a non-believer, so stuck in a chip.

The big blind sheepishly flipped KQ for a busted straight draw, and Borlan's A10 was good for the pot.

Bezhanyan Picks Off El Asmar's Bluff Attempt

Level 4 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Three players had put in 15,000 preflop to see the flop of J43, where Darius Neagoe & Hady El Asmar checked. Aren Bezhanyan then fired out 15,000, which got Neagoe to fold, but El Asmar came along.

The 10 turn went check-check and El Asmar led out for 25,000 on the board-pairing 10 river. After just a few seconds, Bezhanyan called.

El Asmar then tabled AQ for just ace-high, and Bezhanyan took down the pot with a pair of fives holding 55.

Yang Gets Max Value From Martinez

Level 4 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

There were already around 70,000 in the middle on a 2825 board when Jun Yang had raised to 75,000 over a bet from Raul Martinez, who called.

A J filled out the board and Yang wasted no time in shoving his stack of 91,000. Martinez took some time and after mulling it over for a while, he flicked in a chip.

Yang immediately turned over his cards to reveal he had flopped a full house with 88, and Martinez sent his cards into the muck.
