The 2025 Mediterranean Poker Party $5,300 Main Event has come to its final stage, with just nine players remaining in the quest for the $1,000,000 first-place prize. Taking place at the stunning Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa, this event attracted a massive field of 1,196 entries, generating a prize pool of $5,740,800. With only one player set to walk away with a seven-figure score.
Leading the pack heading into the final table is Romania’s Razvan Sabau, with a stack of 66,000,000. Close behind him is Italy’s Italo Modena with 61,700,000 chips, while Hong Kong’s Timothy Chung sits in third with 47,100,000. All three players have been consistent throughout the tournament and will look to carry their momentum into the final stretch.

Also still with a shot of getting their hands on the trophy are Milad Oghabian Langar (37,700,000), Andreas Mavromoustakis (34,000,000), and Daniel Thaller (28,600,000). Meanwhile, Hassanin Hashim (28,000,000), Garik Tamasian (27,300,000), and Dawid Smolka (26,300,000) will return at the bottom of the counts but still very much within striking distance of clinching victory here.
Cards are due to get in the air at 12 p.m. local time. As always, the action will be streamed with a 2.5 hour delay via the DTD Player Youtube channel, and live updates will be synced with the stream to ensure no spoilers are leaked.
The blinds are set to begin at Level 29, 500,000/1,000,000 with a big blind ante of 1,000,000, and the plan is to play down until there is a winner. All nine players are guaranteed at least $63,000, while a place in the top three secures a six-figure payday. The top prize of $1,000,000 awaits the eventual winner, and with substantial pay jumps on the line, every hand will be crucial.

On the first hand of the final table, Garik Tamasian made it 2,000,000 to go from middle position with 9♠9♦, and Dawid Smolka three-bet to 5,000,000 from the cutoff holding K♣Q♥. After the rest of the table folded, Tamasian opted to lay his hand down.

Hassanin Hashim opened from early position to 2,000,000, and only Andreas Mavromoustakis called from the hijack.
The dealer put out a flop of 8♦3♣3♠ and Hashim made a continuation-bet of 3,200,000. Mavromoustakis stuck around with a call.
The 9♠ turn checked through for the K♠ to roll off on the river. Hashim checked again, but Mavromoustakis bet 5,300,000. After using a time bank, Hashim called, and Mavromoustakis turned over A♣K♦ for a pair of kings. Hashim mucked 7♦7♣, and Mavromoustakis pulled in the pot.
