Chen's Main Event Sails Away on the River
Yuhang Chen opened from under the gun and Damir Gabdullin three-bet the cutoff. Chen then put in a four-bet and Gabdullin five-bet ripped! Chen had around 1,500,000 to start the hand and quickly called.

Chen had the goods and Gabdullin had run right into the aces, but there were still five cards to come where anything could happen. The flop came 4♣J♣9♠, giving Gabdullin a pair of fours, but it was Chen that still held a big advantage.
An 8♣ on the turn gave Chen an unnecessary flush draw as only a four on the river would end his Main Event. A four is what Gabdullin needed, and a four is what he got as the 4♦ rolled off on the river, giving Gabdullin trips!
Chen couldn't believe it, but Gabdullin was all smiles as his stack swelled to around 6,000,000.
