Day 3 Completed
Just nine players remain in the hunt for the $1,000,000 top prize at the 2025 Mediterranean Poker Party $5,300 Main Event, after a wild Day 3 inside the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa. What started with 96 hopefuls has now been narrowed down to a final table, and one of them will walk away with a life-changing seven-figure score tomorrow.
Razvan Sabau leads the way with a towering 66,000,000 stack, narrowly ahead of Italo Modena (61,700,000) and Timothy Chung (47,100,000), who round out the top three. All three have been steady forces throughout the day and will enter the final table in prime position to make a run at the title.

On a flop of 4♦Q♥Q♦. Daniel Heredi had his short stack all in and was put at risk by Dawid Smolka.
Daniel Heredi: K♦5♦
Dawid Smolka: 9♦9♠
Heredi was needing a king or a diamond, otherwise he would be the final table bubble boy.
The 7♣ on the turn put the tournament one card away from the final table, and the 5♠ river meant Heredi was the last player in the day to be eliminated.

Italo Modena raised from under the gun and Andreas Christoforou three-bet from the button to 7,500,000. Modena then shoved, and Christoforou quickly called off his stack of 26,400,000.
Andreas Christoforou: A♥Q♠
Italo Modena: 7♦7♠
A huge pot on the line with Christoforou needing to win the flip to stay alive. The flop of J♣6♠5♠ didn't change much but the 8♠ turn gave Christoforou a better flush draw. However, the J♥ river bricked out, and Christoforou was eliminated in 11th.

Razvan Sabau made it 2,200,000 from the cutoff and Daniel Heredi called from the big blind.
The flop came A♥Q♣6♥ and Heredi checked. Sabau checked back to the 9♥ turn and Heredi bet 2,500,000. Sabau called.
When the 7♥ hit the river, Heredi checked and Sabau bet 3,500,000. Heredi had around 6,200,000 behind and looked to be in a tough spot as he put all of his time banks into the middle. Eventually, Heredi did call.
Sabau then showed A♣Q♥ for a flush, and Heredi's straight with 10♣8♣ went into the muck.

Daniel Thaller opened from under the gun and Milad Oghabian Langar shoved from the big blind for 12,700,000. Thaller called.
Milad Oghabian Langar: K♣Q♦
Daniel Thaller: A♣J♦
Langar hadn't had much going for him over the past few orbits but this one seemed to be going his way on the 9♦Q♣J♥ flop as he made top pair. No surprises came on the 7♥K♦ runout, and Langar got a much-needed double-up.

Italo Modena raised from under the gun to 2,000,000 and Timothy Chung called in the small blind. Hassanin Hashim also called from the big blind with K♥Q♠.
All three checked the 7♣7♦6♣ flop to the A♣ turn, where it checked to Modena, who fired out 2,000,000. Chung called and Hashim folded.
A Q♥ dropped on the river and after Chung checked, Modena used a time bank before announcing a bet of 12,000,000. Chung snap-called!
Modena showed 9♥8♥ for a bluff, and Chung showed J♦J♣ for the winner with a pair of jacks.
Huge call from Chung, who now takes the chip lead.

The flop came 6♠J♦8♦ and after Chung checked, Hashim bet 3,700,000. Chung made the call and an A♠ rolled off on the turn, which went check-check.
A Q♣ completed the runout and both checked it down again, and Hashim took it down with his kings.
