As recalled by a member of the media, Tian Hao open-raised from the cutoff and Akin Tuna three-bet from the big blind.
The flop came K♦Q♥4♦ and Tuna checked. Hao bet 225,000 and Tuna called. On the 5x turn, Tuna checked again and Hao pushed out a bet of 1,000,000. Tuna went into the tank, using all of his time bank cards before eventually mucking and giving Hao the pot.
With that hand, Hao put himself among the chip leaders.
Jordan Fisch bet 50,000 from middle position and was met by a shove from Fiodor Lavagetto in the small blind. Fisch called for 485,000.

It was a flip, but Fisch made two pair on the flop with the board of A♣Q♥9♠4♥K♣ to secure the double-up and leave Lavagetto with a sub ten big blind stack.
Rafael Aslani bet 65,000 from the small blind and was raised by Fiodor Lavagetto in the big blind to 225,000 which was called by Aslani.
Both players checked the J♥7♥4♠ flop, but Aslani bet 125,000 on the 5♥ turn, which was called by Lavagetto.
The 6♣ completed the board and Aslani bet 150,000. Lavagetto used two time bank cards and made the call. Aslani turned over K♠J♣ which was good enough to get the pot.
Picking up the action on the K♥3♦J♥ flop, Danyel Boyaciyan checked and Alitanju Yilmaztuk deliberated then put in 100,000. Boyaciyan then insta-jammed all in. Yilmaztuk looked confused but ultimately made the call.

Following an open-raise to 40,000 from the hijack and Jan Schwippert called in the cutoff. Shuang Luo then three-bet to 200,000 from the big blind. The hijack called then Schwippert moved all in for 580,000. Luo used a time bank and then called with the covering stack, while the cutoff folded.

Luo was badly behind against aces, but the 9♠4♠10♥ flop gave her trip nines. The 6♥ turn and 3♣ river finished Schwippert's chances to catch up and he was sent to the rail, while Luo chipped up to around 2,000,000, putting her among the leaders heading into the last few levels.
With 272,000 in the middle at the turn with the board reading A♦5♥3♠6♣, Artur Vyborov bet 115,000 from the hijack and was called by Chunnuan Xu in middle position.
The 9♦ completed the board and both players checked. Xu tabled A♥J♥ which prompted Vyborov to muck his cards.
The very next hand Vyborov opened for 40,000 from middle position and was bet with a raise to 90,000 from Giorgiy Skhulukhiya on the button. Vyborov moved all in and was snap-called by Skhulukhiya for 497,000.

Vyborov's aggression bit him on his bottom, as he ran into the Georgian's Big Slick. The board was 10♠9♦6♥2♠K♣ and a delighted Skhulukhiya dragged in a massive pot, while Vyborov lost half of his stack in the space of two hands.
The hijack opened to 50,000 and Pascal Hartmann three-bet to 120,000 from the button, which the hijack called.
The flop came K♥10♣Q♦ and the hijack checked. Hartmann bet 65,000 and the hijack called. The river came the 2♥ and the hijack checked. Hartmann pushed all in for 225,000 and the hijack made the call.
The hijack showed A♦K♠ for top pair, but Hartmann had A♥A♠ for an overpair.
The river came the 5♦ and Hartmann held to double up his stack.
