Hallaert and Darie Building Stacks

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Vlad Darie
Vlad Darie

Kenny Hallaert was down to his last 40,000 about an hour ago but has made a comeback and is playing a stack of almost a million now.

Vlad Darie is the first player to break the two million mark and was kind enough to tell the live reporting team what had happened:

Darie raised from under the gun to 18,000 in the previous level and was called by the player in the cutoff. The player on the button three-bet to 76,000 and action folded back to Darie who four-bet to 188,000. The cutoff player folded and the button called.

The flop came {a-}{3-}{4-} rainbow on which they both checked.

The turn was an {j-}, Darie continued with a bet of 115,000 which his opponent called.

The river completed the board with another {4-} to pair the board up. Darie now put his opponent all-in for his last 350,000 or so and his opponent called with {j-}{j-} for the full house, jacks over fours. Darie had him beat though as he held {a-}{a-} for the higher full house.
