Aydemir Gets Trappy

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The action folded all the way to Recep Aydemir in the small blind who flat called and then action was on the big blind who raised to 23,000. Aydemir called and they were heads up to a flop.

The 723 board landed and Aydemir check-called an 18,000 continuation bet from his opponent.

The 7 rolled off on the turn and Aydemir checked again. The big blind sized-up and wagered 50,000 but Aydemir quickly put in the call.

The 8 hit the river and action checked through.

Aydemir tabled 1010 and his opponent smiled and commented that Aydemir was getting "trappy trappy" with his pocket pair. He dragged the pot and is continuing to run well.

Strigunas Gets a Count; Rips It In

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Action folded all the way to current chip leader Rytis Strigunas in the small blind who leaned past the dealer and asked for a count of Maksim Skripkin's stack who was sitting in the big blind. After no more than a second he moved all in.

Skripkin checked his cards and put in the chips to put him at risk.

Maksim Skripkin: KJ
Rytis Strigunas: AQ

The full board ran out Q8J3Q and Skripkin hit the rail before the money. Strigunas continues to accumulate late in the day.

Nikolay Ponomarev

Shuang Luo opened from late position to 12,000 before the action made it to Nikolay Ponomarev in the small blind who put in a cold three-bet to 42,000.

The big blind thought over a call for a good bit before folding and the action moved back to Luo who snap-ripped it in for about 190,000.

Ponomarev shook his head, shrugged, and tossed in a chip. He then got the good news.

Shuang Luo: AJ
Nikolay Ponomarev: QQ

The full board ran out 7637K and Ponomarev sent Luo to the rail and dragged in a massive 65 big blind pot.

The Rich Get Richer

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

The action was picked up on the river with a board of 892J7. It was checked to the current overwhelming chip leader Rytis Strigunas who sat in the tank for close to two minutes before he finally landed on a 3/4 pot bet of 65,000.

His opponent in the big blind was in the blender. He seemed to be going back and forth with his options but after about three minutes in the tank he finally released his hand back to the dealer.

Strigunas scooped and is now sitting with about four times the average stack.
