Kliper Fires Away at El Asmar

Arie Kliper three-bet to 29,000 from the big blind and Hady El Asmar called in the cutoff.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Kliper continued for 14,000. El Asmar quickly called as the {6-Spades} fell on the turn.

Kliper this time slid forward a tower of chips, betting 62,000. El Asmar tanked for about two minutes before he gave up his hand.

Michalak Bluffs the Chip Leader

Heads-up on a board of {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, start-of-day chip leader Chakib M'hiri bet 11,000 from the big blind and Jakub Michalak called in the hijack.

The river came the {j-Clubs} and M'hiri slowed down and checked. Michalak tossed out two green 25,000 chips for a bet of 50,000, sending M'hiri into the tank for around three minutes before he folded.

Michalak turned over {a-Spades}{4-Spades} for a bluff as he took the pot. "I know. I know. I was that close," M'hiri said following the hand.

"That's why I bet so much. Twenty-five you call," Michalak replied.

Butans Hits River to Stay Hot

Viktor Ustimov was all in preflop and had a good chance to double up.

The flop came {4-}{8-}{5-}, the turn was the {10-} but the river was the {q-} to bust Ustimov and give Butans yet another pot as his Day 2 has started off very well by busting multiple players.

"Seat open" called the dealer, "No table open!" said one of his tablemates, joking that he wanted a table change before Butans continued his recent knockout spree on more victims.

Ten Leads Into Hadioglu

Nuri Hadioglu bet 5,000 on a flop of {9-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs} and was called by Aleksei Ten in the big blind.

The turn came the {3-Hearts} and this time Ten led out for 15,000. Nadioglu quickly called to the {6-Clubs} river, when Ten bet another 26,000.

Hadioglu spent some time starring down Ten from across the table before he tossed in a call. Ten turned over [Qdh3d] for two pair and Hadioglu mucked.

Action came in on the turn as the board showed {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}. From the big blind, Kubanychbek Abakirov bet 18,000 and his opponent, who entered the day as one of the lrgest stacks but wished to remain anonymous, called from the small blind.

The river came the {k-Clubs}. The small blind checked. Bakirov thought for a while before betting 80,500. Hid opponent quickly raised all in and Abakirov snap-called.

The small blind tabled the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a flopped set but it was beaten by the {a-Spades}{4-Hearts} wheel of Abakirov to knock the anon player down to about 300,000 from his early high perch and send the huge pot to the Kyrgyz player.

Goulder Raises the River

Alex Goulder and Damir Rakhimov went heads-up to a flop of {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs} when Goulder bet 13,000 on the button. Rakhimov called in early position as the {4-Clubs} fell on the turn.

Both players checked to the {3-Spades} river, when Rakhimov led out for 16,500. Goulder came back with a raise to 86,500, and Rakhimov called after some deliberation.

Goulder turned over {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for the nut flush to win the pot.

Paul Newey is at this table but has yet to take his seat on Day 2, the 93,000-chip stack he began the day with being blinded down.

Ozbek Gets Massive Double to Begin the Day

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Four players saw a flop of {6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} as action checked to Gokhan Ozbek in the hijack who bet 4,500. A player in the small blind called before La Sengphet raised to 17,500 in the big blind.

Seyedahmad Haghgou called in middle position. Ozbek then tanked for nearly two minutes before he raised to 34,500. Sengphet got out of the way, but Haghgou called again.

The turn came the {9-Hearts} and Haghgou bet enough to put Ozbek all in. Ozbek called for his last 70,000 with {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a set, while Haghgou had {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for two pair.

The river came the {k-Hearts} and Ozbek more than doubled his stack early on Day 2.

Al-Kubasi Takes One
