Lampropulos Survives a Race With Martinsek

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jan Martinsek had a raise to 18,000 in front of him from the small blind before Nikos Lampropulos moved all in for his last 108,000 in the cutoff. Martinsek tanked for a moment before he called.

Nikos Lampropulos: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Jan Martinsek: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

"What," tablemate Nina Krasilnikova said after seeing the hand Martinsek called with. Lampropulos had to win the race to survive and took a big lead when the {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop gave him a set.

The turn came the {9-Hearts} and Martinsek was already drawing dead as the {5-Clubs} fell on the river.

Er Spikes the River on M'hiri

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Zorlu Er and Chakib M'hiri saw the turn on a board of {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. M'hiri bet 25,000 and Er moved all in for 85,000.

M'hiri quickly tossed in a chip to call. "Do you have a ten," Er said, standing up from his seat.

"Of course," M'hiri replied, showing {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Er threw his arms in the air in frustration as he opened up {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and prepared to make his exit. The river, though, came the {k-Clubs} and Er made a full house to remain in the tournament.
