Dray Finds the Right Call
Level 12
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Samuel Dray opened from middle position and was called by a player in the big blind.
The flop came 6♥4♦4♣. The big blind checked, Dray bet 5,000, the big blind check-raised to 18,000 and Dray called.
Dray called a 25,000 bet from his opponent on the 5♣ turn. On the J♠ river the big blind bet 82,000 and Dray went deep into the tank. Several minutes went by before the clock was called.
"Show if I fold?" Dray asked his opponent, who indicated that he would show one. With five seconds remaining Dray stuck in the call.
The big blind knocked on the table, told Dray he had made a good call, and mucked his hand face down allowing Dray to take the pot without having to reveal his hand.
