Russia has been dominating the early stages of the $3,300 Main Event, with six of the top ten stacks belonging to players from the nation. Several Russian players have secured significant chip counts, firmly establishing their presence on the leaderboard. It remains to be seen if more Russian contenders will rise to the top during Day 1c and the turbo Day 1d flight.
With 55 players advancing from the 149 entries on Day 1a and another 70 players making it through from 148 entries on Day 1b, the current field size stands at 297 entries, with 125 players already securing their spots for Day 2. With two more flights—Day 1c and the turbo-format Day 1d—still to come, these numbers are expected to grow significantly before registration closes midway through Day 2.
Each player in Day 1c will start with 100,000 chips and compete through nine 40-minute levels, aiming to join the growing field of survivors.

There were already around 12,000 chips in the pot on a board of 2♣K♥3♠10♣ when both Lavrentiy Ni checked from the big blind, and Maxim Son knuckled back.
On the 9♣ river, Ni fired out 7,000, and Son called at lightning speed.
Ni then quickly turned over top set with K♦K♣, and Son revealed A♦A♥, meaning he avoided a huge disaster in the opening level.

Julien Rouquet opened to 1,200 from middle position and was called by a player in the small blind and Alessio Isaia in the big blind.
The flop came J♥10♣3♠ and action checked around to Rouquet who bet 1,700. Both opponents made the call.
Rouquet continued for 5,500 when checked to on the 10♠ turn and this time it was enough to force a fold from both opponents.

Georges Sultanem made it 1,600 from middle position and Hadi Khordbin called on the button. The big blind then squeezed to 4,500, which both Sultanem and Khordbin called.
On the monotone flop of 5♠K♠A♠, all three players checked to see the 9♥ drop on the turn. The big blind checked, and Sultanem announced a bet of 8,000. Khordbin called, and the big blind folded.
An 8♦ completed the runout on the river and Sultanem quickly checked it over to his opponent, who thought for some time before he bet 20,000. Sultanem wasted no time in making the call.
Khordbin then revealed he had turned a set with 9♠9♣, and Sultanem analyzed the board for a second before he mucked.

On a full board of 8♦6♦4♠7♦A♦, there were around 15,000 chips in the pot when Alfred Nader fired 7,000 from the big blind, and Azamat Tulepbergenov called on the button.
"Why didn't you go all-in?" asked Nader.
It was made clear why Nader said that when he showed 9♦5♦ for a straight flush! Tulepbergenov had no choice but to muck, and Nader added to his stack with a very rare hand.
