Gabdullin Makes the Right Call Against Van Rooij

Merijn Van Rooij was left visibily stunned after a hand against Damir Gabdullin in the early goings of Day 2.
The action was picked up on the turn with the board reading 5♠Q♦3♣2♠ and with around 20,000 in the middle, Gabdullin checked from the big blind. Van Rooij the bet 14,000, and Gabdullin called.
When the 10♠ landed on the river, Gabdullin checked it over once more and van Rooij went for a little over a pot-sized bet of 60,000. Gabdullin went into the tank while he tried to piece together the puzzle, and after over a minute, he called.
Van Rooij then flipped A♠6♣ for ace-high with some blockers, and Gabdullin showed he rivered a pair of tens with A♦10♣ to scoop the pot.
As the pot was being pushed in Gabdullin's way, van Rooij looked a bit confused about what just happened, but regardless, his stack took a hit early on and he is down to around 70,000.
