IPO Master Winner Zheng Flops a Set

Paul Grummitt opened from under the gun to 23,000 and Xiaosheng Zheng three-bet from the next seat to 66,000. When it got back to Grummitt, he called.

They saw a flop of 7♦A♦J♠, where Grummitt checked and Zheng bet 45,000. Grummitt then raised to 100,000, and Zheng called.

A Q♦ brought in multiple draws on the turn and Grummitt check-called a bet of 75,000 to see the 2♥ fill out the board on the river. After Grummitt checked, Zheng bet 150,000. Grummitt didn't need to think for too long before he called.

Zheng then showed that he had flopped a set with J♥J♦, and Grummitt slid his cards into the muck.

Tianyu Chen made it 20,000 from the hijack and only Nikolay Fal called out of the cutoff.

Chen threw out a bet of 25,000 on the Q♣10♣3♦ flop, and Fal quickly called.

The 8♣ fell on the turn, prompting Chen to check. Fal bet 62,000, which Chen called.

Two checks followed the J♦ river and Chen took down the pot with 3♣3♠ for a flopped set.

Smolka Busts Novak in Biggest Pot of the Tournament

Andrii Novak limped in from the small blind and then called a raise of 35,000 from Dawid Smolka in the big blind.

The flop came 6♦4♦J♠ and Novak went into check-call mode after Smolka bet 25,000, which brought them to the 6♠ turn. Again Novak checked, and again he called a bet when Smolka fired 180,000. .

An A♦ hit the river and after Novak checked for a third time, Smolka shoved. Novak had around 700,000 behind and put them all into the middle, which created the biggest pot of the tournament so far.

Smolka flipped over a full house with 4♥4♣, and that was good as Novak's A♣J♥ was no good, ending his tournament run.

Tlimisov Takes it Away on the Turn

Adil Tlimisov raised to 25,000 from the hijack and only Vadim Kazykhanov called out of the big blind.

Upon seeing the dealer fan out the 5♠3♣7♥ flop, Kazykhanov led out for 16,000. Tlimisov decided just to call.

The A♣ on the turn caused Kazykhanov to check. Tlimisov took back the betting lead by firing out a hefty 75,000 into the middle. Kazykhanov thought better of it and folded, allowing Tlimisov to win the pot.

Milos Miskovic opened the cutoff to 20,000 and Wei Lin three-bet the big blind to 78,000, playing a stack of around 325,000. Miskovic then shoved, and Lin snap-called for his tournament life.

Lin turned over his cards so quickly and perhaps thought he was ahead, but seemed a bit stunned when Miskovic flipped over his pocket queen. A flop of J♣10♣10♥ didn't help Lin, and neither did the 5♥J♦ runout, which meant he was eliminated before the money.

Cedric Schwaederle raised to 20,000 from the cutoff and only Elena Yasyuchenya called out of the big blind.

Yasyuchenya check-called a bet of 15,000 from Schwaederle on the J♣K♥9♥ flop.

The 6♦ turn checked through for the 9♦ to appear on the river. Another two checks came and Yasyuchenya turned over J♠6♠ for a counterfeited two pair. Schwaederle returned his cards to the dealer, and Yasyuchenya was able to pull in the pot.

There were 60,000 chips already in the pot on a board of 6♦3♣K♥7♣. Quan Zhou checked out of the big blind and Edgard Raffoul fired out a bet of 40,000 from the button. Zhou made the call.

The 5♠ river got checked down and Zhou turned over a pair of fives with 8♥5♥. Raffoul couldn't beat it, and the pot was sent Zhou's way.

Vladimirov Takes a Three-Bet Pot

Kemal Aslan opened to 20,000 from middle position and Denis Vladimirov three-bet to 45,000 from the hijack. When it got back to Aslan, he stuck in the call.

Both watched the 2♠10♥7♣ flop hit the felt and after Aslan checked, Vladimirov fired 50,000. That was enough to earn the pot as Aslan folded.

Danielle Noja is on the same table and has a stack worth almost 700,000, as is Milos Petakovic who has around 350,000 to work with as the money edges closer.
