Demirkol Makes the Right Choice on the Turn

Mehmet Demirkol raised the cutoff to 160,000 with Aren Bezhanyan calling on the button, and Mohamed El-Wely defending his big blind.

Once El-Wely checked the K♠3♥Q♠ flop, Demirkol bet 150,000. Bezhanyan and El-Wely called.

The action checked to Bezhanyan on the 7♥ turn, and he placed out a bet of 535,000. El-Wely folded, but Demirkol went into the tank. After around two minutes, Demirkol jammed for roughly 1,000,000. Bezhanyan made the call.

Demirkol was ahead with top pair, but Bezhanyan had a flush draw with one card to come. The clean 9♣ fell on the river for Demirkol and he clenched his fist in celebration at having made the right decision.

When it folded to Natan Chauskin on the button, he jammed for around 1,400,000 with just the blinds to get through. Salah Assi called for his last 700,000 from the small blind, and after the big blind folded, the cards were shown.

Chauskin had Assi dominated, but the J♥8♥6♠ flop propelled Assi into the lead with a pair of jacks. The J♦ turn left Chauskin drawing dead, as the 8♦ river cemented Assi's double-up.

Nenad Dukic raised under the gun with Mohamed El-Wely calling from middle position and Aren Bezhanyan defending his big blind.

After it checked to Dukic on the A♦5♣K♥ flop, he bet 175,000, which was only called by El-Wely.

Heads-up now to the 5♦ turn, which saw Dukic bet 525,000. El-Wely jammed for 1,630,000, and Dukic quickly called.

Aren Bezhanyan raised to 140,000 from the button before Michael Iakovlev three-bet the big blind to 475,000. Bezhanyan used a few of his time bank cards before jamming to put Iakovlev all in. Iakovlev went into the tank for a while before ultimately making the call for his 2,000,000 total.

Iakovlev was in trouble with pocket jacks against the kings of Bezhanyan. The dealer produced a runout of A♦3♦2♣8♥5♥, which provided no help to Iakovlev. Bezhanyan moved up to over 6,000,000 and Iakovlev was out.

Alper Kerim raised to 440,000 from the hijack, leaving himself around 60,000 behind. Cedric Schwaederle called from the cutoff, and everybody else folded.

On the 5♥7♣4♠ flop, Kerim checked and Schwaederle fired out 75,000. Kerim quickly folded, despite having the majority of his stack invested in the pot, and showed A♣Q♣ as he did so.

The entire table was stunned, but Schwaederle was more than happy to rake in the chips.

"I put you on ace-king," said Kerim after the hand.
