Ihlamur's Creativity vs Roman Wins Him a Big Pot

Osman Ihlamur just recalled a hand he played with Jose Roman.

Ihlamur said that Roman opened the cutoff before he three-bet from the button. After the blinds folded. Roman called from out of position.

Two checks followed the A♠7♠Ax flop to see the 8x on the turn. Roman now led out for 85,000, and Ihlamur called.

When the flush-completing 4♠ hit the river, Roman fired again, this time for 185,000. Ihlamur made the call and was shown Kx7x by Roman for a pair of sevens. Ihlamur had that beat with 8x2x in the offsuit variety for a pair of eights on the turn, and the substantially sized pot was pushed to him.

Picking the action on the turn of a board that showed A♦4♦8♥A♣. The small blind checked, and Mohamed El-Wely bet 101,000 from the cutoff. El-Wely made the call.

The Q♥ rolled off on the river, and the small blind player checked again. El-Wely quickly fired 292,000, causing his opponent to go into the tank. After some thinking, the small blind player called, and El-Wely stood up and slammed A♠J♦ down for trip aces, while saying "My friend! My friend."

Hashim check-called a bet of 18,000 by Michalak on the J♠2♦6♠ flop.

The tun came the K♣ and Michalak check-called another bet from Hashim, this time for 70,000.

Both players checked the K♠ river, and Hashim revealed the J♣9♠ for a pair of jacks on the flop. This was enough to win the pot, as Michalak mucked his hand.

The flip was crucial for both players, as although Gunes was at risk, Fkih would be left with under five big blinds if he lost. The dealer produced a runout of 4♥6♥9♣10♣10♠, and Gunes was able to earn the crucial double-up.
