2026 Merit Poker Montenegro Championship
With around 10,000 in the pot on a flop of A♠Q♥6♠, Lennart Beumelburg checked from the hijack and Martin Brinkmann bet 5,800 from the cutoff. Beumelburg called.
Both checked the J♠ turn and when the 7♦ fell on the river, Beumelburg bet 18,000. Brinkmann thought for around twenty seconds, but decided his hand wasn't good enough to call, so he folded.

The madness continues over on Table 4.
Stefan Cupic opened to 2,400 from early position and Bobby James called from the big blind.
James check-called a bet of 2,000 on the J♥4♥5♠ flop and saw the 8♦ fall on the turn. Again James checked, and again Cupic bet, this time for 3,500.
"You should look at your cards, I've looked at mine," said Cupic.
"Oh, you've looked? I thought we were playing blind," James replied as he called.
The 10♣ hit the river and after James checked, Cupic grabbed a handful of chips from his stack, which was splashed out in front of him, and put them into the pot. The dealer counted it out and announced it was 11,700, which got James to fold.
Cupic then revealed a rivered set of tens with 10♥10♦, which grew his stack to around 150,000.

Yaniv Peretz opened to 2,500 on the button and Mazalahedwa Bako three-bet to 9,600 out of the small blind. When the action got back to Peretz, he called.
A flop of 2♣5♦8♣ fell on the table and Peretz check-called a bet of 8,000 from Bako to the J♥ turn. Both players checked, as they did on the 7♣ river.
Bako was first to show and flipped a pair of nines holding 9♥9♦, which was enough to win the pot as Peretz mucked.

Table 4 seems like quite a fun place to be right now, just ask Stefan Cupic.
Oleg Bystrenin opened to 2,000 and then called the shove of Cupic, who moved all in for around 35,000 from the big blind.
Stefan Cupic: Kx7x
Oleg Bystrenin: AxAx
It looked to be the end of the road for Cupic, but he did pick up some outs on the 7x6x4x flop. A Jx on the turn was a brick, but a 7x hit the river, giving Cupic trips and a double-up!
Insanity.

As sometimes happens at the poker table, players come to agreements between themselves, which Stefan Cupic and Bobby James just demonstrated.
The pair decided that if the action folded to them while they were both in the blinds, they would move all in blind, as in without looking at their cards.
True to their word, when the action folded to James in the small blind, his stack of 35,000 went in blind, with Cupic calling without checking his cards from the big blind, prompting a slow reveal.
Bobby James: Q♣4♥
Stefan Cupic: 10♣9♣
Cupic liked what he saw, but James was ahead with the mighty queen-four off.
The A♥7♥3♠ flop missed both players, and the A♦ turn left James one card away from a double-up. The pot did go the way of the British player as the Q♥ river paired his queen to seal it.

Grigoriy Grigorash had the last of his stack in preflop, and was quickly put at risk by Sergey Kudryavtsev from the next seat.
Grigoriy Grigorash: J♥9♦
Sergey Kudryavtsev: K♠K♣
Grigorash was hoping for a miracle, but the 6♠2♥7♣ flop didn't offer much in the way of assistance. The Q♦3♥ runout confirmed his elimination, which left Kudryavtsev to collect the pot, growing his stack to around 60,000.
