Shornikau Takes a Chunk Off Guerrini

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Three-handed on the turn and around 150,000 already in the pot on a board of {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades}, Maksim Shornikau bet 100,000 from the button and Michele Guerrini called in the small blind.

Saman Nakhljavani quickly folded from early position as Shornikau and Guerrini went heads-up to the {3-Diamonds} river. Guerrini checked again, and this time Shornikau slid forward a bet of 130,000.

Guerrini snap-folded as Shornikau raked in the big pot.

Korkmaz Spikes the River to Stay Alive

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Ran Ilani raised to 20,000 from early position before Koray Korkmaz shoved all in for 196,000 in middle position. Ilani asked for a count before he called.

Koray Korkmaz: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Ran Ilani: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Korkmaz was dominated and got no help on the {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop as he was already getting up from his seat and preparing to exit the tournament.

The {j-Hearts} on the turn was no help and Korkmaz was now one card away from elimination, but he hit the {k-Diamonds} on the river to double up.

"Happy endings," a tablemate told him as Korkmaz sat back down.

Abou Khalil Fades Everything to Double

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Ghassan Abou Khalil, Daniel Rezaei, and Rashad Iskandarov were three-handed on a flop of {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs} when Abou Khalil got his last 270,000 in the middle from the hijack against Rezaei in the small blind, while Iskandarov folded.

Ghassan Abou Khalil: {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Daniel Rezaei: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Abou Khalil had top pair but needed to fade Rezaei's straight and flush draws. The board ran out {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Rezaei missed both draws to hand over most of his stack to Abou Khalil.

"Do you win," tablemate Toni Kaukua asked Iskandarov after the hand, who shook his head..

Uguccioni Puts in a Four-Bet, Moein Goes Deep in the Tank

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Michael Uguccioni raised to 24,000 from under the gun before Roman Gadzhiev reraised to 75,000 in middle position. Ali Moein called in the big blind as action went back to Uguccioni.

He four-bet to 215,000 and Gadzhiev quickly folded. Moein, though, buried his head in his arms as he went into the tank for several minutes.

"Will you show if I fold," he asked Uguccioni after finally emerging. He counted out his remaining stack and another player at the table called the clock.

Moein then turned over {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and flung it into the muck as Uguccioni took the pot without showing.

Mehmet Kolgu raised to 25,000 in the hijack before Maksim Shornikau three-bet to 110,000 from the cutoff. Stefan Reiser, on the button, then moved all in for 159,000.

Kolgu let out a deep sigh before he folded, but Shornikau quickly tossed in a chip to call.

Stefan Reiser: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Maksim Shornikau: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Reiser was flipping for his tournament life and came out in front as the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. "That's the first hand I've seen," Reiser said after he doubled up.

"Did you fold queens," a tablemate asked Kolgu.

"Of course," Kolgu replied.

Three-Way All In Nets Ihlamur a Triple

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Osman Ihlamur was all in for 215,000, Samuel Kabelitz shoved for 230,000, and Eduard Barsegian called having both players at risk.

Osman Ihlamur: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Samuel Kabelitz: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Eduard Barsegian: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

"I'm so far behind," Kabelitz said as he stood up from his chair. Ihlamur took out his phone and began recording the action as the dealer turned over the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} board, keeping his kings in front and securing him a triple up.

Kabelitz was left with just 24,000 and was eliminated the next hand.

Kolev Talks Himself Into a Call in Massive Pot

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Fahredin Mustafov
Fahredin Mustafov

There was already around 300,000 in the middle on a board of {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Spades} when Fahredin Mustafov, in early position, moved all in. Boris Kolev, in the big blind with around 190,000 behind, was faced with a decision for his tournament life.

"What you thinking now? Call or fold," Mustafov asked him.

"I think you have nine-ten the way the hand was played," Kolev replied.

"Or seven-six," Mustafov said.

"Seven-six I can beat," Kolev added.

A large crowd began gathering around the table as Kolev continued to tank. "I folded a hand I usually three-bet just to come see this," Gabi Livshitz said as he wandered over from another table.

"It's okay if you call time. Or maybe I never fold," Kolev finally said. "Okay, I call," he added as he tossed in a chip.

Mustafov turned over {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut straight and Kolev flashed {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} before heading for the exit.

"I didn't know it was your birthday. Nice gift," a tablemate told Mustafov following the hand.
